Yes! Definitely amazing for accenting any piece. Expensive and hard to bite the bullet for just that purpose though. I feel like they’d stay on my wishlist for a while as well with other things being prioritized. Glad I could help though! 😊
You’re not really supposed to use them with that much water, that’s why your swatches look “odd” and sheer. To get less water on the brush, just blend the water a little on the top of the paint pan, or simply wait for the water to sink into the pan just a bit, and you’ll get the most stunning paint you’ve ever seen! 🙂 Ps: if you’re looking for things to paint with them, I suggest trying to add finetec paints as an overlay to paintings of metallic/iridescent-looking insects like scarabs and dragonflies. Finetec is perfect for those subjects! 😊

I love Finetec watercolours. In your swatch samples, I think you used too much water. My advice is to let the water activate the pigment for a few seconds to take the brush stroke and get more saturated colors.
You did well because metallic paint is tricky👌
I’ve had these on my Blick’s wishlist for a while. I think they would add nice accents. Thanks for showing them.

This was really helpful actually. Thank you for the tip!
Wow beautiful!
These are super fun but like you said, tricky to use in practice. 💜💚 fun review🙌thanks.
Right? Definitely not the most practical set, yet still fun to use. Thank you so much! 🤩💜
Try them on black paper. The black paper is the shadow. Build up opacity for highlighting

This is pretty amazing! Thanks for sharing your observations. I am into card making and am in the market for a pearly/metallic watercolour

Thank you! I appreciate the tip-I agree I think they were too wet.
They work the best on black watercolor paper
So fun!
Right? Not an everyday art supply, but definitely a fun one!
