As a civilian, I would love to be able to call in airstrikes as needed.

I got to see JDAMs used in Afghanistan via a drone downlink.
One was a thousand pounder dropped on a guy who had already been hit with a Hellfire but the Colonel wanted to be sure.
Crazy thing is a guy on a camel wandered onto the site just as the F-16 dropped the bomb.
He, the camel, the original bad guy and his motorcycle were obliterated.
That's just sad :( (if he was a non combatant)

The video from the balcony has not yet been verified as real. This is because the impact and the sound of the explosion occur at exactly the same time. Look even here, the sound and the impact are delayed, even though they are very close.

@@diningerj So $20k for a JDAM and over $100k for a cruise missile. I have no issues as long as they're used wisely. I wonder what the cost is for a MOAB? So far I only know of two dropped. One was a test in the Florida Panhandle and of course the other was in Afghanistan.
@@laughtoohard9655 conclusion your government should have never went to Afghanistan, they literary dropped many many bombs and rockets just to land in the sands, but they preferd airstikes, more accurate and will continue for hours, using bombs and rockets in between
