It works wonderfully, and I modified it for myself a bit. You could spare a bunch of material if you skip the observers and sticky pistons and just use a redstone torch on top of the target blocks directly under the dispensers (in the same pattern). Maybe add a redstone signnal inverter after the skulk cathalist, so all the torches are off when there is no signal from it, and give an impulse if it detetcts the sheeps eating. Also, it still have enough space underneath to refill it with shears if needed. I also skipped the top grass-checkerboard for asthetic reasons. XD It works the same, if you are okay with slightly reduced production. I have 10-ish sheeps in an 8x8 pen.

Inverted Torches on the Targets does seem like another cool way to go about it!

Using red sheep would have pushed this farm over the edge.JK, absolutely amazing farm.

I wonder if dripstone from the ceiling dripping water will make the grass to grow faster…

The upper grass is too high. Grass can only spread down with a two block gap. Tested by making a dirt platform under a grass platform with a three block gap and no grass spread down. Max 2 block gap from upper source grass to lower dirt receiver.

Very Weird, Farm was designed a few updates back and going back and checking it did work and still does in older versions. Saw no change mentioned over grass changes over the last few updates in change logs either... surprise surprise things not going in change log. More testing to be done to see when it changed. Thanks for the Heads Up!

If this has been changed then that's a shame as this trick did work previously. And of course changelogs are only 20 percent accurate. I try to stay on top of mechanics but they seem to change update to update. Nice thing is Farm still works with or without.

It will still work just fine, you just need to lower the upper grass down by a block.

Hey thanks for the farm!, The checkboard pattern of grass doesnot work properly because it is too tall, it should only be 2 air blocks btween the dirts for them to actually spread, i tested this 2 times and same results under and over the ground!
I recommend to skip it entirely it would produce a lot of wool dont worry guys and if you really want to up the speed production by like 20% then do the pattern but one block below the sowed on video, also Pistons+Observer can be skipped if used only redstone torches.

Yea there has been some changes made to grass recently that was not mentioned in change logs. Unfortunately I can not know every mechanic that has changed without being added to change logs :( farm works perfectly without the grass even.
Torches can be used too if you prefer. Personally I prefer observers but that's just me.

@@TmanCow Dont get me wrong... THANKS for the farm i already build it and ditched the top layer of grass i m using 16 sheeps and 16 allay's it is producing wonderfully well, it was just some things i noticed could be improved because for me piston + Observers makes more lag and are a lot more expensive than torches
