We Just Tried Subnautica 3 Abridged and it's TERRIFYING. - New Subs, Leviathans & DLC Mod Experience

This was an experience like no other, I can only imagine the endless work to bring this to the world but i am so happy to see something entirely fresh like this! From a new "Boss" battle with a Hydra Leviathan to seeing the Ancient Bloop & Blaze + Some other unknowns as jumpscares, This was by far one of my favorite (And terrifying) times playing Subnautica. My voice actually started to get rough from the constant intense fear and stress of being so far below the ocean with so many unknown creatures. Will be re-visiting this in the future to see the behind the scenes and see what else i might have missed! Huge congrats to SOCKS for such a successful mod!

I'd like to see a Subnautica where we start out in a massive deep ocean base with numerous other characters as part of a science/mining operation. Something akin to 1989's The Abyss. Heavy horror element. A catastrophe devastates the facility. The player must find usable tools for survival, escape sections before they drown, gain access to safer sections, try to find other survivors. And instead of being at the surface, we start deep - real deep - and in order to get back to the surface we must safely rise and wait at intervals while we decompress etc. Shallow levels are more dangerous (more creatures/leviathans). Throw in a highly mysterious alien presence and rock 'n roll. "Subnautica: Deep Rising"

Sounds similar to a game called "Barotrauma," among some other games, but it's a submarine instead of a mining base and more like a navigation journey. Either way this idea sounds fun af and I won't be surprised if I see a game like that in the future.

I mean a lot of mods are more stable, (this seems relatively new and bug fixes are inevitable) and what happened with the cyclops was because of another mod (that was meant to do that from what I can tell) This was definitely not broken chaos (the crash at the end was unfortunate, but once again, newish mod from the sounds of it) just some forgotten mods that were installed and easy to disable. And plenty of not modded games are buggy messes (an example being fnaf security breach!) It also depends on how compatible the game is to mods, and how good the mod dev is. Personally I rarely get crashes with mods, and I usually end up modding any game I buy that can be. This probably isn’t the best mod to use as an example of how stable modding is either. Idk if you’ve ever seen some hollow knight mods, but even the crazy ones are stable (custom bosses, custom skins, item randos, room randos) and stuff like hk vocalised is amazingly crafted and a very cool experience.
I’ve also made the huge assumption that you don’t know much about different mods, so correct me if I’m wrong about that! And apologies for rambling, I just wanted to say my two cents! Modding can be an amazing tool if you know how to use it.
