I've found that the best way to get Prismatic shards is to first have 2 lucky rings equipped, then eat a magic rock candy and have TONS of stairs and mega bombs (at least 200 of each if you are going to spend a whole day doing this) and then go into the skull caverns as early as possible and just spam stairs and you'll get a lot of treasure floors with this method which will give you a lot of good stuff as well, and blow up any clumps of Iridium ore (DON'T MINE, it takes too long, and don't waste time on one or two Iridium ores because that can cost you a lot of stuff later in the day) and once the effect of the magic rock candy run out just blow up as much Iridium ore as you can until you pass out. This only really works if you are really far into the game and don't worry about spending Prismatic shards on the rock candy because you'll earn it all back after doing this run. Hopefully this helped some people and if anyone has any better ways to go about this I'd love to hear it because I'm always trying to find better ways to farm Prismatic shards :]

I'm currently in mid to late game, year 5 and try to hit perfection. I just unlocked the walnut room so I need to grind a lot for Qis tasks 😅 thanks for the help ❤
The iridium is WAY to complex, so here is my method, step one: get all four candles at grandpa’s shrine this gives you statue that gives 4-6 iridium every morning. Step two: fill up every slot in your inventory after placing the statue down then destroy it go back to grandpa’s shrine and you will get another statue while being able to pick the one on the ground. Step three: repeat step four until you have the desired amount of iridium, for example I have ten and get 45-55 every day
I've founs out that if you grind coal like you said, but in the dangerous mines instead(which can be permamently accessed after completing the quest from mr qi), i'm pretty sure you can get more coal since there are much more enemies. But maybe i'm wrong. Just my humble opinion. Also sorry if I made grammer mistakes.
I just downloaded a mod that gives me an elevator exactly like the normal mines in the skull cavern mines and I get so many prismatic shards 🤣 I also got them in the top levels of the regular mine randomly.
Tip for farming both wood and hardwood, in that order: Step 1: Craft a bunch of medum sized bombs with a bunch of iron ore and coal. Step 2: Go to a large patch of trees on your farm, chop down a verical or horizontal line throughout, and place down some bombs. Step 3: Trees go bye bye, and boom, easy 1000+ wood. Hardwood: Step 1: Go to the secret forest, and get 1 or 2 mahagonny seeds. Step 2: Plant the seeds. I recommend the farm, in the space you previously cleared by blowing up all those trees. Step 3, Let the tree grow, I'd recommend using tree fertiliser Step 4: Do Nothing. When the tree groes, do NOT chop it down, because it will spawn other trees by itself. Step 5. Remove any debris and other, non-mahagonny trees to allow your mahagonny forest to expand and thrive. Step 6. When you can comfortably chop down about half the available hardwood trees to have enough hardwood, then you should chop down the trees.
Burglar ring does not double the chance. Instead it rolls the potential loot table two times instead of one. Which more often than not looks like double loot. Great video!
Love your channel, played stardew on switch but I'm starting on phone and I am loving it! being able to play and bring the game everywhere I go is awesome! Keep the good work!
In farming ores, it is better to farm on a super lucky day because it can generate more ore veins but if you have a unlucky day, you can go farm dust sprites for coal because they can spawn more on unlucky days
Watching this till the end and hearing if you played for a long time you probably know this. I have 200 hours and knew barely any of this, but now I know at least!
I've been desperate to get my first Prismatic Shard on the playthrough I'm doing now and I think this iridium shard farming method is pretty doable. Gonna try it!
Using staircases to get to level 100 of the mines for the achievement is a great tip! However... Best way (by far) to farm iridium is to duplicate the perfection statue. If you ever are to ruin your statue (let's say you accidentally bomb it or something) you can run to gpas shrine for a *free* new one! There is a way to exploit this. Hit your current statue with a pickaxe while your inventory is full. Fill it with duplicates of another item so that you dont auto-collect. Now that the statue is out of your possession, the game thinks you dont have one. Make sure that where you hit the statue is far enough away from grandpa's shrine to not be collected automatically. Now run to gpas shrine, collect your next statue (move one of the duplicated items into your stack of them to make room for statue after running to the shrine), now set your statues down and hit them whilst having a full inventory. Rinse and repeat until you have the amount of statues you want. I filled a shed with I think 40 of them, and I produce around 200 iridium ore per day. I play on Nintendo switch, i haven't tried this method on any other consoles or PC.
I saw recently that plants on the prehistoric floors of the Skull Caverns drop ancient seed artifacts when destroyed. I had no idea until I saw a reddit post and it seems no one knew.
Hey there! Thank you so much I am so glad to hear that I am actually improving! I do my own edits, but I have dabbled in hiring an editor, for now they are only editing my stream "highlights"
I get the darts by holding the mouse steady and waiting for it to pass over the target. It moves in the same figure-8 pattern, so you can kinda line up the path and wait. Good Luck!
4% chance means every 25 ores on average will yield a prismatic shard, that's very good to know! I started a new playthrough on switch though, not sure the slingshot with bombs is gonna be effective.
maybe not super helpful but when you’re short on time driftwood in a recycling machine gives a decent amount of coal! these tips were so helpful even with 250 hours i’m still learning so much every day 😭

no challenge.. that's boring.
@@assasin101011 I don’t think spamming stair cases is very challenging either, so to each their own.
Tip for farming both wood and hardwood, in that order:
Step 1: Craft a bunch of medum sized bombs with a bunch of iron ore and coal.
Step 2: Go to a large patch of trees on your farm, chop down a verical or horizontal line throughout, and place down some bombs.
Step 3: Trees go bye bye, and boom, easy 1000+ wood.
Hardwood:
Step 1: Go to the secret forest, and get 1 or 2 mahagonny seeds.
Step 2: Plant the seeds. I recommend the farm, in the space you previously cleared by blowing up all those trees.
Step 3, Let the tree grow, I'd recommend using tree fertiliser
Step 4: Do Nothing. When the tree groes, do NOT chop it down, because it will spawn other trees by itself.
Step 5. Remove any debris and other, non-mahagonny trees to allow your mahagonny forest to expand and thrive.
Step 6. When you can comfortably chop down about half the available hardwood trees to have enough hardwood, then you should chop down the trees.
i got a prismatic shard once
ithen died with it and couldnt retreive it from item recovery
THIS TUTORIAL HAS HELPED ALOT THANK YOU
i got an ancient seed the first day (one day in game) thank yo so much
Finding dwarf scroll IV is pretty rare too... im farming the swamp and still no luck
Thank you. Some of these tips I did not know, and I'm not new to the game. I love your channel and look forward to the next upload.
Burglar ring does not double the chance. Instead it rolls the potential loot table two times instead of one. Which more often than not looks like double loot. Great video!
This got my subscription! I've been loving this game, but didn't know the best method to farm ore!
I can't stop watching your videos!!! Pleaaase keep posting, you are an incredible content creator. Btw i loved this video
Hi from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Hi from South Africa!
I am so glad you like them, and Yeah I have a bunch of videos in the pipeline
Watching this till the end and hearing if you played for a long time you probably know this. I have 200 hours and knew barely any of this, but now I know at least!
I've been desperate to get my first Prismatic Shard on the playthrough I'm doing now and I think this iridium shard farming method is pretty doable. Gonna try it!
Thank you! Not brand new but didntknow like half of this vid
I learn something new every time I watch your videos ! Thank you! You make playing this game fun
as a relatively new player, this was super helpful :)
Your edits are really good! Did you hire someone to do that? Or do you edit your video’s yourself? 😊
Hey there! Thank you so much I am so glad to hear that I am actually improving!
I do my own edits, but I have dabbled in hiring an editor, for now they are only editing my stream "highlights"
I'm 1 dart game away from perfection and I'm going to try again today! Please wish me luck- 15 darts took me all night to get!
I get the darts by holding the mouse steady and waiting for it to pass over the target. It moves in the same figure-8 pattern, so you can kinda line up the path and wait.
Good Luck!
Good luck!
Wow, I started loving your channel! Thats so helpfull, thank you, i'll subscribe
video is super cool, with a preaty voice. Good information in a short video its the best what i know
4% chance means every 25 ores on average will yield a prismatic shard, that's very good to know! I started a new playthrough on switch though, not sure the slingshot with bombs is gonna be effective.
use bombs they work pretty much as well
I believe bombs are much easier on controllers, I hear its hard to aim the slingshot on the controller
i'm on my first play through (went in knowing NOTHING) and your videos are so helpful and fun ❤
maybe not super helpful but when you’re short on time driftwood in a recycling machine gives a decent amount of coal! these tips were so helpful even with 250 hours i’m still learning so much every day 😭
In my most recent save i got my first prismatic gem by a regular slime in the secret woods in spring of year two
Me too, I was super surprised.
Thanks, will try to challenge skull caverns even deeper with explosive ammos
Thanks for all of these great tips!
This video was so helpful! Thank you 😍
For the ancient seed, a think 25 is better. Plus bonus of quicker menu navigation which will add up in real time spend.
I'm a new player thank you so much! Very helpful!
I love your voice it’s so calming and sweet 🥰
I'm not a new player but I definitely needed this
I didn't know Radioactive Ore showed up on any level. I've been fighting the bottom level monsters for nothing! Thanks for the tip :)
I don't have the mine unlocked for the geo, but I know I get a lot of those geos from the artifact nodes around ginger isle. I usually get 2-3 per.
I love these videos! Thank you for the good content!
You guys not believe me because in skull cave i found 2 prismatic shards in four iridium ore how lucky 🍀🍀🤩🤩
Dee best is dis video be helpful it is
New player here and I am very, v e r y grateful for this video! Thank you so much for the tips!

Happy resource gathering
Thank you!

Glad It helped!
Also radioactive bar to buy galaxy souls on ginger island!!!!!
You know it!
Unfortunately I only learned that after I purchased six galaxy souls from Mr Qi....
@@ezlilyy you were the one who told me that! Just saying if someone doesn't know cuz you were talking about the "uses" for the items... But I only knew that cause you told me about it and I already had bought it on scams Mr Qis
this was really helpful! ty
The way I'm getting coal in my playthrough is by turning the entire desert into a forest and converting tons of the wood I get into coal with the charcoal kilns. It gives me so much since I have thousands of wood just laying around.
@bina nocht You can just plant seeds and they'll grow eventually as far as I know. I just spammed all the ones I had and waited a while and eventually a forest was there.
