The footage from Cruis'n Exotica is from Mame, and thus totally broken. There's plenty of videos of the real arcade version out there, which looks great.
Cruis'n Exotica is my favorite by gar, I bought the arcade machine and it's great, one thing about Cruis'n Blast I find off is just how different it is from the first 3, it's not bad, but it's missing something...

Cruis’n USA, World and Exotica was my favorite games of my childhood, I was playing arcades basically.
Loved Exotica arcade but it pisses me off to no end that Exotica got the short end of the stick in terms of ports

I think Burnout games were the spiritual successor to the Cruzin franchise. Especially Burnout Paradise.
Not to Cruisin, Burnout was more of a spiritual successor to Thrill Drive. I say The Crew series is more a successor to Cruisin than Burnout
