As someone who watches A Tribute To Minecraft almost ever day, and holds it up as my favorite video ever created. Its nice to see something like this going back and looking at what Schlatt made and giving another perspective of it. Very epic vid, you earned yourself a sub
For me, Minecraft isn’t just a game. It's a feeling, indescribable at best. Something impossible for words to commune, and I'm pretty content keeping it that way. Technoblade Never Dies. Rest in Peace.
I love/hate getting emotional to actually genuine Minecraft breakdowns or reviews... I love Minecraft, it was my child hood and still I play today. I feel like people are blinded by the changes, instead of enjoying the actual game. I have never used half of the mechanics in this game and I have been playing for more then 7 years now... Minecraft never gets old. And Honestly, I don't think I'll ever stop loving it. Change is hard, sure, but that doesn't mean you can't change with it. OH AND SCREW 100 DAYS/CIVILATION VIDEOS! I dislike those strongly, those people make Minecraft unfun.
This was really good. Loved the fresh perspective, especially as someone who's been playing since 2012 and is dissatisfied with Mojang's direction since Microsoft took over
This is one of the most underrated videos I have ever seen. You put it all perfectly and, honestly, that's also exactly why I play minecraft. I am happy with it too :)
I disagree on the view that all the new features are optional. also it's not about adding ew features it's what they are, the whole world is full of structures that give you diamonds immediately, you end skipping core important part of gameplay because you're surrounded by ship wrecks, villages, desert temples etc etc. you don't even need to build a house or mine on your first day. also because you can get a bunch of iron and even diamond tools before even crafting a wood pickaxe, you don't end up getting any building materials, so to build a house it would take you going out of your way to get a bunch of cobblestone and wood, and why do that when there's a village the issue isn't the features, it's that the most easiest way to play the game is by not mining or building, which is why so many people get bored cause they don't mine or build anymore, which are the 2 funniest things to do in the game. they just loot structures, and once they are done with that, they don't know what to do, because the whole time they've been getting tools and weapons but don't have anything to build with, they don't need a house and don't have any reason to build if the structures were rare and spawned far out that would be better also more customisation with gear. whenever they add anything to do with the tools you get, it's always something that just makes you more powerful, rather than being an alternative. what I mean is instead of netherite being outright better than diamond, which just makes the player more powerful (which gets boring in the late game) you could instead make it so netherite JUST makes your stuff immune to lava, and maybe gives extra durability, rather than making it also deal more dammage/mine quicker etc etc also I'd like to see enchantments be overhauled, protection should be replaced with assault protection which only protects against melee attack damage, therefore you DO need to use the other protection enchants. also an "nimble" enchant for swords that increases the attack speed of the sword BUT is incompatible with sharpness, so you have to choose between a weapon that can hit more, or one that does more damage every hit. also more incompatibilities in general. also I think each item should have a limit of 3 enchants per item. create more specialised items and customisation while also nerfing the player a bit (because you get way too strong in the end game). I want it so every player has an individual unique set of gear also I want zombies to sprint at you, and spiders to behave like spiders, and creepers to have smart AI so they pathfind to your back and out of your line of sight, like if they are agro'ed on you they will hide behind blocks if you're looking at them ALSO CONCRETE SLABS WHERE ARE MY GOD DAMN CONCRETE SLABS (and terracotta) that oe pisses me off the most, I'm not asking for vertical slabs here, I just want some concrete man
Honestly, Lena Raine's music is mid. In isolation, it's good music, but in the context of minecraft? Minecraft is accented by C418's music not because it's bombastic, but because it's calm. It's that melancholy of being either alone surviving/building or just making memories with friends in multiplayer. Lena Raine is a good composer, but the wrong one for Minecraft.
cant wait to A Tribute to A Tribute to A Tribute to Minecraft
