My total respect for you mike, a man of honest principles and values. Your skills to me are legendary. And balls of steel. Great to see you back. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
being 80 years old I've found out to enjoy life's adventures along the way.... HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. Keep it between the Mayo and Mustard.
Sadly, it’s becoming the norm for companies to find any excuse to fire their higher paid employees with seniority. That was a crappy deal, and cheap shot. Was wondering what happened. Hope you will enjoy Turkey Day with your family.
Great to see you again. This is blowing my mind. Absolutely going to be some terrific vids in snow. Be careful. At least traffic is non existent. Any kind of traffic is going to surprise you. I'm glad all is well. Thanks for the great videos of past.
Thanks for taking us along. I hauled during wheat harvest from the field to the elevator. Sometimes I was overloaded because there ain’t no scales in the field. 😂😂
Sorry to hear about what happened. My last five jobs I lost not because I'd done anything wrong but somebody higher up in the company decided not to renew the contract for my work group. I retired in 2019 at age 62 and moved to Panama where I can live according to my income. The U.S. has gone downhill ever since. Damn shame. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. The Lord watches over His own.

@@moop_fogo I joke that Panama is 70% of the U.S. at 70% of the price. In Panama City and David, it is like South Florida - hot and sticky. In the mountains, though, it can be like spring year-round but with a long rainy season. Ypu have to make adjustments but it is a pleasant place to retire to.

Glad you got a job. Good vid and I like the scenery. I have always liked the desert type of terrain so this all will be very interesting as you drive your routes. I always took on a challenge because I had to see if I was as good as I thought I was but there were times when it got very deep in a hole but I stayed with it and got back to the top and learn to stay out of the ruts.
Good to see you back. I would run thru most of the winter before I bought a tractor, some of these new ones with all the emissions stuff sometimes break down and the only way out is a hook, and there are a few critical part that are almost unobtainium. I was an O.O. about 20 yrs ago, when you break down it can be a big gulp . Good luck with it all, and keep the shiney side up and the greasy side down.
Hey, Mike. I’m with Mason Trucking out of Aurora Utah. They like having drivers in the GJ area and you would be home every weekend. I’m sure Roosevelt would work as well. I get 2,300 to 3,500 miles per week. Great company! Keep them in mind if you decide to make another change. I live in Meeker and it works out well.
You may like the 18 speed once it becomes 2nd nature... Quality will regret their choices when freight picks up and all they can get are steering wheel holders. 10.5 years is a lot more dedication than I ever had. I'm one of those old hands that repeatedly watch your fair weather driving on 2 lanes thru the mountains. Because of how you usually mount your camera I can set back with a few tunes and after a couple of drinks seem to be "On the Road Again". Many thanks !!!
Hey good to see you come out of retirement sorry to hear you getting fired but hey I cannot wait to see these winter vids up and down these winding roads seems like these roads could make ya or break ya see you on the next one... Happy Turkey day
Reminds me of when i was working in Canyonlands in the 80s before they paved the roads. Love that country. Keep the videos coming. This is interesting. When i heard the truck engine it reminded me of the heavy hauler you talked to your video that was pulling that long hill on the Interstate in Utah. Now you are one of them. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
It's really good to see you back in the saddle again Mike! You've quite the adventure going on now man. I look forward to your coming videos for sure! Be safe and I hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Personally I think if he wanted to build back better, he should give the 321 million born here a million apiece. Save those billions. No homeless, no poor.

When you started the video by saying you were off roading and then camera in hand said let me show you what I've got, I fully expected to see a side by side !!! Imagine my surprise when you showed a full length trailer with a pup, dusty to beat hell and I thought What's he doing driving in the oilfield and WHAT oilfield is he in ? Quality may not have done you a favor by firing you, but at the least they did your "Riding Shotgun" viewers a hugh favor !!! This gives us all a chance to watch you hone this oilfield hauling to a fine science and excel at it !!! I can't for the life of me figure out why you doubt your natural talents to figure things out and make them look effortless !!! Go get 'em Mike you'll do GREAT !!!
Hi Mike nice to see you do what you enjoy and do best. Nice thought of owning your own truck and also possible of your like minded ex friends forming own trucking company. All the best.
Holy Moly!!!! You're pulling double trailers on back roads. Looks like a different semi too! Oh My FIRED!!!!! So glad to finally hear from you Mike, I've been riding shotgun for so long I missed ya... Happy Thanksgiving Mountain Man Mike & family... F J B and the horse he rode in on...
Don't buy your own truck!!!! Sure you can write off some of the cost, but tires, downtime, and all the other things that come with owning a truck are very risky. If big companies are having a hard time, the guy with one truck is not likely to make it. I had 5 trucks and when the Obama clock came that was it, sold them all. If your going to stay in trucking let someone else deal with the bills, truck goes off the road who gets to pay the bill, you do. The truck needs a tire with a service call you get the bill. Truck is down for something that takes some time to repair, and the payment still has to be made. With 5 trucks there would be some weeks when 3 trucks would be making money to support the other 2. It's a roll of the dice, sometimes it's really good, and then other times it really sucks bad. Take a cold hard look before jumping on that bandwagon. Lots of trucks are up for sale right now for a reason.
Joe really helped us with gas prices. I know you appreciate that. Bet you can't wait to buy an electric truck so you can get your EV rebate ither. We all love Joe (Senilis Maximus) sad he won't run again.
