- In today's video we will be updating and making over a vintage nightstand I found on Facebook Marketplace. I will show you how to take this nightstand from old, outdated, and damaged to modern, chic, and new. We will be using @DixieBellePaint chalk mineral paint in the color Driftwood as well as adding new hardware from Home Depot.

It's my first time here. I'm glad you really let us watch instead of "speed painting" through the project! I have a houseful of big, brown antiques and mid-century pieces that my grown kids aren't going to want. They aren't worth serious money. I'd love to give myself permission to transform them! It would really lighten up this 350 yr old home.

Lots of work for a little table . Very nice . When I glue things together I use a caul . It’s just a flat piece of wood a little bigger than the area you are gluing . I tape wax paper around it so the glue won’t stick . I use the caul to put even pressure on the spot I’m gluing. So put the caul on top of the area and then clamp it down. It will give you a better and smoother surface . ✌️

For those bottom sides I take a strip of lattice wood about the width and thickness of a yardstick and cover to whole edge. It adds strength and give a nice clean edge. I also check if the feet need a little wood added and put on new nylon hammer in glides. You always do a fantastic job!
