My adopted cat is scare of me and people. He's 13 yrs and I believe he was traumatized in his previous life. Shelter doesn't tell you all their life history. He sleeps near me, doesn't want to pick up ,likes brushing but I have to do it when he's moving. He does rub his head on my hands only. He's afraid of people goes hide , he's only meowing to eat. Has a good appetite, he doesn't want to be taking or pick up. It's a nightmare to take him to the vet and trying to trim his nails. In few words when adopting cats at the animal shelter ask a lot of questions, you don't adopt a cat for his color, but look for behavioral issues. You do not want to return the cat to the shelter. You are a savior of this cat. Responsable people are to really take the time to adopt and give the cat all the attention that he will need.
I understand what you are dealing with. My cat Janie, who i adopted from a shelter almost 6 years ago, has never let me pick her up. It is very hard for me to catch her to take her to the vet. My other cat, Lola, i have had for 8 months and she is starting to love mr but she had never let me touch her. She is from the street, someone took her in and posted her online and i felt so sorry for her. I wanted to give her a home. I don’t know what she went through before i got her, i will keep her always but i wish that someday she will let me touch or pet her.
@@AdrienneMint thank you for your reply. I'm touched. Not matter what my cat will never return to the shelter. Cats have complex personality, but they can make excellent companion providing them attention, affection and give them as well space. Magoo is my companion and I think he understands that.
@@lisegirard4670 i am so glad you got my note. I wrote to you because i think you are such s wonderful person for adopting this cat snd for keeping him,no matter what. I am so glad you did not return him to shelter. I feel he loves you even if he doesn’t know how to show it. He knows you are there for him.i am hoping someday my cat Lola, the one i got about 8 months ago, will let me touch her and pet her. I speak to her every day in a gentle voice so she will not be afraid of me. She is doing better than a few months ago. I have adopted senior cats in the past. It is the most rewarding thing and i may adopt another senior cat this year. Best wishes to you and Magoo❤️❤️❤️
I've had 4 of my cats since they were 2 weeks old. I fed them, via a syringe, with mother cat simulated milk, 10mls each every 2 hours. (they wouldn't drink out of a pet bottle) Their mum rejected them because they all had the cat flu. However their mum chose to give birth on my back patio. She must have known I would take care of them. It took me a while to tame the mother, but when I did, she became a part of our feline family. One little fellow has permanent damage to one of his eyes, because having the cat flu. His eye partially closed, and occasionally leaks clear fluid, which I gently wipe with a warm cotton pad. They meow toward me when they want attention, as they meow toward each other whenever they want one to follow the other. After a lot of TLC, and medication, they all survived, and will be 7 this October.
They know we're humans and I'm convinced that they don't think anything bad about us. They see us as very caring loving helpful animals and they appreciate it. They worry about us and I think they wonder where we are most days. I think dogs think similar about us as well

I bought my two bob tailed boys "BABBLE" They understand english and even meow in english now...thanks Babble .
My cat is a little greedy. My "gift" a couple of days ago was the two back legs and tail of a mouse. Not much of a snack for me!😅

They look at us as slaves. Just like Sylvester! Especially when he screamed for Steve. Miss you guys💔😭😭😭💔💔
My 12 year old ginger white cat sees me as a slave, then as a friend.
My cat understands me when I talk Greek to him.
I'm not sure what she thinks I am besides her slave😂 I really think she considers me family maybe even her mother.
My cat socks he has me under his claw
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think Oreo does
I know that i went to college and then worked for many years so i could be a maid for Janie and Lola.

First
Why not ask the cat themselves through an animal communicator?
Cats see us as giants. Cats is a tiny animal.
Very leftie video
