Great upgrade. Interested to see your service life. Mine last 2-3 years. Im on my 3rd one and was told the failure rate was very high. That being said, i cant live without one.
Simrad. However i think transducers are pretty similar and made by navico and airmar. My fathers garmin transom mount failed after 5 years. Hopefully you guys have better luck. Keep up the great videos too.
@@SlipItIn.Fishing Great to know. BTW, if you're ever out in Nags Head, let us know, would love to have you join one of our trips sometime when there's an extra seat.
Another great informative video I only have a small center console but I did put an airmar thru Hull on it connected to my 70dv and I can see bottom out to about 600-700 feet on a calm clear day

Hmmm, good to know Peter. We'll report back for sure. Is yours a Garmin as well?

How well does the Garmin GT51M-THP work for you? What other transducers do you have?

Wow, nice Jimmy! Good hearing from you bud!
do you have any reports on how it worked out
Has worked quite well so far Danny 👍
@@saltwaterfishinguniversity Thank you
Any reason why you didn’t go with a real side scan sonar?
Honestly not sure what you mean Peter? Please explain further if you would.
@@saltwaterfishinguniversity side scan with a dome. A true side scan. Not a transducer pointed off to the side
Ahhh, you're referring to one of those ultra expensive ones, right Peter? Maybe one of these days sir! 😄
