My name is Jacob Stone Marian Mueller, I was adopted from an Orphanage in Romania in 1996, The family whom adopted me has the last name of Mueller, which was originally MULLER, His birthday is the day before my dads now, and I'm currently back in Romania learning the language to help teach the orphans English and minister Gods word to them. God lead me during this time to be set free from anxiety, it has caused so much trouble for me over the last 10 years plus with being overly cautious about security (which stems from a home break in when I was a child) to also being overly anxious about washing my hands and cleanliness. But God set me free a few weeks ago from anxiety, first it started with the security checks, I just stopped over doing it and felt absolutely fine - then after a few weeks more it was the hand washing and being over concerned about cleanliness and He helped me free from this also... Clearly God brought to my mind the scripture "Be anxious for nothing" - the realisation of what this meant broke the chains of anxiety for me instantly! I realised that being anxious, means a lack of faith - I am thankful also because I believe God's grace covered my anxiety over the years where I couldn't. I then discover this documentary, and George Mullers quote was: "The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith, and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety". WOW! God speaks so clearly to us through different means... this is so true. Thank you Abba.

Ah - the true saints of the Lord!!! George Muller is the opposite of today's American TV evangelists. He never asked for money - he just brought his needs to the Lord - and when he did get money, he did not spend it on himself (Kenneth Copeland really doesn't need 9 private jets), but on the children - their food, clothing, shelter and education. As a single mom raising 5 kids by myself after the death of my husband who left nothing to us- I KNEW God would provide for I remember reading G. Muller's story when I was a kid, and myself in an orphanage. I knew God never fails and His faithfulness is forever. And God never did. I did not go on public assistance of any kind but wholly trusted the Lord to not only provide the children for what they would need, but provide me with ideas that I could apply to earning money, since it was difficult to find employment as a single mom in those days. Talk about discrimination! Happily, that has changed, but it wasn't so then when my children were very young. I ended up publishing a newspaper on my kitchen table which brought in more money than I could ever have earned outside the home so that I could be both mom and dad to the children when they needed me most. Day by day, year by year, God faithfully provided either through ideas or outright miracles. And I didn't have to ask anyone for help -for I had the Lord. This is what I want to impress on everyone especially today - when your back is up against the wall, God has your back. The same Christ that performed miracles 2,000 years ago, the same Christ that provided for Mueller and his orphanage, is the same Christ today. Jesus never fails. It's not a matter of how much faith we have; it's a question of, Do we TRUST Him?

Inspiring. Thank you. We must immerse ourselves in the Bible and in prayer. Just one 'correction'. George Muller didn't pray alone. He makes it clear in Answers to Prayer that it was himself and his wife Mary, who prayed, and they made their needs known through praying with the children, volunteers and workers. The local communities knew what they were doing and, in those days, many more people believed in God. So different to todays' secular, non-believing world. It is good to endorse the ending of the video which quotes George writing that his experiences of God's provision was God's desire for all Christians. He and Mary's experiences of God were supernatural, but not unique to them. Let us expect great things from God, just as they did.
Love when he was on the boat and he prayed and the mist lifted. Such was his faith. Great that the Captain prayed ever since having seen the miracle of prayer by George to God and was answered immediately. So wonderful. Simple.
Relying on the Holy Spirit, George walked and prayed early in the morning. George did not study commentaries inspire his sermons, George relied on the understanding and guiding of the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to him. His own inner man was enriched by this practice. Walk before breakfast to walk in spirit with the Lord. Food for the inner man is the Word of God, not just simply reading the word, but considering it and applying the Word to our hearts. George gave all he had mentally, spiritually and financially. He was happy to do the will of God. He had a vision to house street orphans and he relied on God alone. His faith in God resulted in God supplying for all his financial needs.
If you ask any single mom who is a Christ follower, you'll find He hasn't changed. He still does meet all needs of His children who put aside self and choose Him.

Through a series of events too complex to explain, God is pointing me in the direction He wants me to go. I am in absolute awe at the exactness and goodness of His heart. A kind man who loved people. He will be rewarded for his good works. Today churches have funds and they do nothing but pamper themselves with material things. This man showed what true love is.

I've been reading: George Mueller - Delighted in God by Roger Steer and have never been more moved by a non-fiction book other than the Bible. Roger takes you back to the early 1800's rich in detail; both the beautiful landscapes and also reads like a personal diary with the highs and lows of Mueller's deeply intimate walk with God in Christ - with actual excerpts from Mueller's diary in fact. 30 days ago I never knew the man existed. 30 days later I could never forget him. Very much appreciate this very well made documentary - Thank you so much!
I’m so excited, finding out more about George Muller, four years ago I got the biography written by Faith Coxe Bailey, which is no longer there, but ever since I found out about Muller it inspired me to do the same thing, even though not an orphanage, are other ministries, But I’ve been living with my wife for four years the same way Muller did, and I’m looking for more brothers who live like this, are you?
When we walk with the Lord, in the Light of His Word What a glory He sheds on our way When we do His good will , He abides with us still. Never fear but just trust and obey.
His life shows us that as the LORD says we will go through various trials, persecutions, temptations but that He will not give us more of these than we can bear because He will always be with us and never forsake us. Amen.

Jesus Christ loves you David! Jesus Christ is God. No one is good but God. He alone imparts His righteousness and goodness to us. In ourselves, we can never be good. Our righteousness is like filthy rags. But once we put our faith in Jesus Christ who is God, He imputes/declares us righteous. David creation itself screams loud and clear that there is a God in heaven! Just look in the mirror. There is no possible way that you are an accident. Every detail in creation is the work of God's hand, including you!
It’s impossible to be the kind of person he was without God. He wrote that God gave him everything he prayed for to start an orphanage without him asking anyone for anything. The only thing he assumed would be no problem was getting orphans so he hadn’t prayed about them. The day came to open the orphanage and no orphans had been applied for admittance.
Don't believe in God , is better to believe in God on Earth than finding out after death there was a God, than is too late. How did you come to existence? all the insects, seen and unseen , animals,, the Earth rotate on it own, no support and so much more the existence of God he is all around us. Just watching in tears as I reflect on where the church of today is in comparison. Too much emphasis on wealth, on supernatural power, on being recognised and so little on following the Scriptures and walking humbly with our God. The work of the kingdom will be accomplished only through faith in our God and being directed by His word. How important is the reading of the bible and meditating on the scriptures and walking with God. Amazing how many just felt God tell them to bake bread or give a gift. Loved hearing this wonderful testimony!

That was absolutely beautiful, thank you. I like to walk and pray, as George did. I like my life to be continuously centred around the Lord God, in faith and love. It was very touching to hear about the Lord comforting George in the grief of his wife's passing into the next life. They'll both be raised together, and his children and his first wife, and caught up to meet the Lord in the air, when we're Raptured. The way he saved so many vulnerable children from being trafficked and exploited is also a beautiful thing. Charles Dickens and Josephine Butler knew about children being trafficked and exploited. Dickens went on to open a house for pregnant unmarried girls and women, to protect them, and to help maintain their dignity in a society that would have shamed them mercilessly; some perhaps would have been driven in despair to suicide or infanticide.
What an amazing ambassador for Christ you are mr Muller. though you are resting from all your labour, yet your legacy is still at work a hundred years later... Thank you for keeping me grounded and eyes fixated on the goal. God blessed
The book that is called his 'autobiography' is good, and well worth reading. But Mueller did not actually write an autobiography. Instead after he passed away, someone took his writings, edited them, and what they produced is called his 'autobiography'. You won't go wrong reading it. BUT, a much better biography was written in 1899 by Pierson. Pierson knew Mueller, and also had access to all of his writings, along with access to other people who knew Mueller. Pierson was specifically chosen (by Mueller's son in law, James Wright, who was in turn chosen by Mueller to have oversight of the orphan work during Mueller's 17 years of missionary work near the end of his life) to write the biography. Pierson's book is a masterpiece. And electronic versions are available for free.

Incredible! I have heard of George but never knew anything about him until buying a book at a local Christian bookstore in Arizona on answered prayer in his life. Even after one chapter, I wanted to learn more and came across this video. I was refreshed and challenged in my soul to pray more and desire to live a life more impactful for God. This is the Christian life I long to live but have come so short.
God allows us room to change, live by faith in him alone we will always fall short but he is faithful 🙏🏽

Through a series of events too complex to explain, God is pointing me in the direction He wants me to go. I am in absolute awe at the exactness and goodness of His heart.

I've been reading: George Mueller - Delighted in God by Roger Steer and have never been more moved by a non-fiction book other than the Bible. Roger takes you back to the early 1800's rich in detail; both the beautiful landscapes and also reads like a personal diary with the highs and lows of Mueller's deeply intimate walk with God in Christ - with actual excerpts from Mueller's diary in fact. 30 days ago I never knew the man existed. 30 days later I could never forget him. Very much appreciate this very well made documentary - Thank you so much!
I’m so excited, finding out more about George Muller, four years ago I got the biography written by Faith Coxe Bailey, which is no longer there, but ever since I found out about Muller it inspired me to do the same thing, even though not an orphanage, are other ministries, But I’ve been living with my wife for four years the same way Muller did, and I’m looking for more brothers who live like this, are you?

Jesus Christ loves you David! Jesus Christ is God. No one is good but God. He alone imparts His righteousness and goodness to us. In ourselves, we can never be good. Our righteousness is like filthy rags.
But once we put our faith in Jesus Christ who is God, He imputes/declares us righteous.
David creation itself screams loud and clear that there is a God in heaven! Just look in the mirror. There is no possible way that you are an accident. Every detail in creation is the work of God's hand, including you!
It’s impossible to be the kind of person he was without God. He wrote that God gave him everything he prayed for to start an orphanage without him asking anyone for anything. The only thing he assumed would be no problem was getting orphans so he hadn’t prayed about them. The day came to open the orphanage and no orphans had been applied for admittance.

Just watching in tears as I reflect on where the church of today is in comparison. Too much emphasis on wealth, on supernatural power, on being recognised and so little on following the Scriptures and walking humbly with our God. The work of the kingdom will be accomplished only through faith in our God and being directed by His word. How important is the reading of the bible and meditating on the scriptures and walking with God. Amazing how many just felt God tell them to bake bread or give a gift. Loved hearing this wonderful testimony!

I like to walk and pray, as George did. I like my life to be continuously centred around the Lord God, in faith and love.
It was very touching to hear about the Lord comforting George in the grief of his wife's passing into the next life. They'll both be raised together, and his children and his first wife, and caught up to meet the Lord in the air, when we're Raptured.
The way he saved so many vulnerable children from being trafficked and exploited is also a beautiful thing. Charles Dickens and Josephine Butler knew about children being trafficked and exploited.
Dickens went on to open a house for pregnant unmarried girls and women, to protect them, and to help maintain their dignity in a society that would have shamed them mercilessly; some perhaps would have been driven in despair to suicide or infanticide.
What an amazing ambassador for Christ you are mr Muller.
though you are resting from all your labour, yet your legacy is
still at work a hundred years later...

This man exemplifies, "Let go and let God."
Not an easy task.
Reading his autobiography now! It's absolutely wonderful and his faith is contagious.
The book that is called his 'autobiography' is good, and well worth reading. But Mueller did not actually write an autobiography. Instead after he passed away, someone took his writings, edited them, and what they produced is called his 'autobiography'.
You won't go wrong reading it.
BUT, a much better biography was written in 1899 by Pierson. Pierson knew Mueller, and also had access to all of his writings, along with access to other people who knew Mueller.
Pierson was specifically chosen (by Mueller's son in law, James Wright, who was in turn chosen by Mueller to have oversight of the orphan work during Mueller's 17 years of missionary work near the end of his life) to write the biography.
Pierson's book is a masterpiece. And electronic versions are available for free.

I'm blessed enough to have a 1st edition from 1899 (from ebay), which I use for my general reading and I make notes/highlights on my kindle edition.
Incidentally I've never seen an inconsistency between the kindle version and the original 1899 copy, which is very nice.

Incredible! I have heard of George but never knew anything about him until buying a book at a local Christian bookstore in Arizona on answered prayer in his life. Even after one chapter, I wanted to learn more and came across this video. I was refreshed and challenged in my soul to pray more and desire to live a life more impactful for God.
