Really looking forward to more on this. I finished The Companion not too long ago and absolutely loved the beautiful world, music, and story. I'd love to learn more about all of the stories and lore.
Thanks so much! The Companion was really such a big test for me. I tried to keep it small for a reason, but now with this game I have the opportunity to expand upon the lore/world/everything and learn from The Companion. It's exciting, thank you for supporting this endeavor!
@@Studio46Games Great test run then, I thought it was fantastic. It's one of those games where after a long day, you can go through and enjoy the music, story, and atmosphere and relax. I love games like that as they work great for destressing. And at the end, I was just like "but I need more information" haha! Which is how I ended up following the youtube channel so I could be sure I get updates. :) happy to support such beautiful worlds/games!
I'm not sure how the layers are used, but if you make it so that as time goes forward some places start eroding (losing layers?) or revealing hidden areas, that'd be pretty nifty. You could probably make it so the large time gaps are more noticeable by making streams or rivers cut further into the land with each time skip. idk if it'd work, just my ideas. Looks fine anywho
The layer system works great with geometry but a little trickier changing the landscape. Revealing hidden areas is something that's a lot easier than adding rivers & stuff. I already have some plans on revealing hidden things - I need to be aware of feature bloat but will do my best :)
It looks stunning, but what I don't get is the gameplay. What exactly do you do in the game? Just fly from beacon to beacon? Idk the movement looks to simple to carry a whole game on.
Thank you! Regarding Gameplay, it's a casual/story/exploration game. It's a niche genre for sure. I released 1 game with this concept last year and this builds upon that one. The beacons are not "revealed" initially, they must be discovered - I touch on this in a previous devlog. I am also adding puzzles and enemies as additional minor objectives. The game is still in its infancy. If all goes as planned it will be a 10-20 hour game. (based on statistics from my last game which is a 4-7 hour game).
The game looks amazing, and definitely unique concepts, I wish all the best finishing it 🙏🏻
that looks amazingly nice , keep going !!!
Thank you! Will do!
I'm really hyped for the end result!
One of the BEST looking games ever!!!!
So beautiful
