Nice video. Pleaae help..my wife is fed uo with me because I keep trying to perfect the vanilla gelato Rossi of Southend used to serve us as kids and Ive never mastered it. I keep getting close but I cant quite get that lovely pure flavour right. So ive trued single cream but it came out with crystals or fatty lumps and tasted icy but seemed fresher. Double cream seems to smother the flavours.
@@WeAreFatamorgana Hi. Rossi is a well known ice cream maker in Southend here in the uk. When I was a kid I used to eat it every evening when the ice cream van came round. The flavour was unique and fantastic. May I ask if you would use single cream to improve flavours? Does double cream smouther flavours?
@@sj460162 Well it's up to you, the fater the cream, the better consistency of gelato you will get, but if you want it lighter, you can also use a low fat cream, but the milk has to be whole milk.
Hello, thanks for your question. It is not necessary to cool down the liquid, but if you do put it in the freezer to cool down it will take much less time for the Gelato to be done.
