I found this video in recommendations. I didn't really looked at the title. I thought it would be another specification reading review. I just needed something to watch in background and I recently bought this watch and waiting for it to arrive. I was shocked. Scientific measurements, comparison with other watches, no time wasting. End up just watching all the video and forgot what am I supposed to do. I wish there was more reviews like this. I even subscribed and I don't usually like to watch reviews of products I don't intend to buy. I don't have words how awesome is this content. And about the watches itself. Heart rate and sleep measurement are just sad. It's good to know, that I can't trust this numbers and don't need to even look at it. Gladly I bought it not for this measurements, but for smart features. I wanted a big square screen, nice design and lot of useful smart features (and custom watch faces). So I happy with a purchase, but measurements are a bummer.

I know that the two Amazfit devices you reviewed has mostly been a disappointment but I would really appreciate if you could give the GTS 3 or GTR 3 a try please. I have a GTS 2 mini and I’m disappointed in the accuracy but there’s no other device in the same price point that looks just as good as either of these. I’m really hoping the sensors in the GTS/GTR3 are much better so that I could justify upgrading to that…

I bought this watch because it advertised, ".. Blood Oxygen Heart Rate Sleep Monitor .." The word "Monitor" means keeping a continuous record. This watch does not keep a continuous record of your blood oxygen.

I kinda only cared about steps accuracy, which seems to be decent, thank you for the test! Apparently gps accuracy is also alright, being slightly above average (no watch in this class range has particulary amazing gps). I basically need it just to track my walks without having to carry my phone all the time, and of course for time and notifications during the rest of day I .. so I got it just for that and nice looking design. It was only 73e after all. It sucks probably for most potential buyers though
Agreed with the data I own one for my self And using it for more than 6 months. Heart rate is not accurate in cycling but in my running sessions it performs well. Also GPS is accurate but sometimes having issues connecting to GPS. Overall looks and feel of the watch is nice but if you are looking for fitness tracker I will not recommend this watch.

I think the differences are due to different positioning of each device. You can move your hand or head independently when asleep. If they were all on the wrist the judgement would have been fair. That's my thinking anyway.
I just purchased an Amazfit Bip U Pro and this unit seems to be a little more accurate than some of the results he's getting on some of his various Amazfit unit tests. The heart rate detected was almost spot on with me taking it manually while wearing the watch - maybe a beat or two difference. I do not have a sleep analyzer like he does, but I can say that the sleep and awake times were again nearly spot on, including when I got up to go to the bathroom. The step counter, like his unit, was.pretty accurate. I compared the GPS mapping to that of an app my friend has on her phone when walking and while not perfect, it was again pretty darn close. I also compared the oxygen levels to that of an moderately priced pulse oximeter and once again, pretty close, although neither are medical grade. Considering the price point for my unit, I'd say it's close enough for the average user. I am going to compare it to the Fitbit Sense that will arrive soon, which he rates as much more accurate, to see the difference.

I agree with this review. My GTS2 mini loses accuracy above HR 160, it never gave me correct HR data, but unless you care about HR monitor, then this watch is very usefull for GPS tracking (however this GPS is also not very good...), and it looks good, for this price.
Excellent video 👌. I had two Amazfit watches. They were terrible in detecting heartrate. I would wager if you would use it in running it would show higher heart rate. They have some weird movement algorithm connected to the heartrate. Based on your reviews, I went with a Huawei Band 6. Happy with the heartrate reading on the device. Keep up the good work.
Accurate heart rate is one of the most important things to me personally. An Amazfit was one of my first smart watch purchases. I sent it back for a return after 2 weeks being highly disappointed in the heart rate tracking. An Apple Watch was a big investment for me, but it has been super accurate and just an absolute joy to own and use.

I bought this device. I'd previously has a Garmin Vivosmart 5 but I wanted a bigger display and better sleep tracking (my Garmin detected almost no deep sleep every night even though I thought I'd slept well). This one, as your video say detects deep sleep OK. However what I wanted to add is that, if GTS 2 mini detects light sleep instead of awake for periods you are reading before sleep or you wake up early and can't get back to sleep before rising, you can edit the start and end of sleep time in the app to remove the times you were awake but the sleep tracking detected it as light sleep. It then recalculates the stats and your sleep score. So this is at least a fix if you know roughly what time you finish reading or you work up to early. This probably applies to the other Amazfit devices running on Zepp app although haven't checked. I read on my Kindle at night. I barely more when reading and am very relaxed so no sure any device which doesn't read brain waves would get that I was awake and not light sleep

A fairer test should have checked how accurate the watch is at rest, in other common activities such as running, and in measuring minimum and maximum heart rate.
Great video and testing as usual, Rob! Quick question: Can you state whether you had stress monitoring on in all of your Amazfit videos? I've read a few times that stress monitoring affects the accuracy of Amazfit devices and users found them to become more accurate with that feature turned off. If you did have the feature turned on, it would be great to see an updated written or video response to see if there was any improvement!

I tried to compare amazfit mini with my Fitbit Alta HR and noticed that while Amazfit was good enough in step counting, it wasn't good at all with my sleep tracking. It is better in GPS tracking that the Fitbit devices, though and has a better screen than all Fitbit trackers (not watches). I also noticed the problem with HR accuracy during my exercise sessions with both Amazfit and Fitbit, though, Fitbit performed a bit better. Nevertheless, your review was quite thorough even if done on one person only :)
In future videos, would you be willing to note when an Spo2 sensor is continuous, similar to a dedicated pulse ox, or whether it takes a single "snapshot" that can be repeated?

How was it compared to the fitbit sense my friend?
For the SpO2 test measure it while stopping breathing, after a while it should drop.

All GTX 2 use same sensors so the accuracy will be same. Nothing promising about it.

I have found that the GTS mini 2 has issues with heart rate readings (when working out it'll detect half heartbeat rate) and a restart corrects it.

why most of the smart bands, watches do not have option to turn off Bluetooth or keep it in flight mode to stay away from radiation at sleep.
Because it's totally unnecessary. U get more radiation from eating a banana than from BT connection between watches and cell phone...
