I have owned an M235i for 3 months now, fully loaded. It's 4.8 going 0-60 on the rear wheel version with auto not 4.6. In the UK the limited top speed is 155 not 130. It's got to be 9/10 of an M2 but you can pick one up for half the price if you get one six months old. Absolutely incredible car and so so fast.
Do you still have it or did you unload it.? If so what was your take on buying a pre-owned one with 60k miles on it. Car still looks damn good, a little flashy in that electric blue paint but definitely a sweet little BMW. I never thought I’d even think about grabbing a BMW mostly because I can’t work on them myself. I am just curious about how much $ you had to put into it.
Cool video bud but this is a twin scroll turbo, as in it spools quicker. The N54 engine had twin turbos, the N55 has one turbo. The S55 has twin turbos. Keep up the cool vids man!
I juts purchased a 2016 BMW M235i with 31,000 miles. Lemme tell you something, everybody that looks at it, gives me eyes that say a few things: 1: I wish my car was that incredible. 2: Police be like “That’s not a drug dealer, that’s a successful man”. 3. I thought I could drive faster and better, but sadly I cannot. 4:Who is that guy to have such an amazing vehicle. 5: I wish my car was that incredible looking.
3:33.....Top speed is only limited to 130 mph if purchased with all season tires. If purchased with summer tires, as the majority of non X-Drive cars are, then the limiter is raised to 155 mph.
anx1300c whutt. Makes sense tho my friend has the exact same car with boxed setup compared to me with staggered and I believe he had runflats while I had michilen pilot super sports. Didn’t know that would change the top speed limiter
I'm not saying you're wrong that's just a different way to word it it's really just one turbo. sucks double the air. definitely having just one Turbo because if you get the twin turbo setup, when you put the JB4 computer on it you get over a 100hp horsepower. with a single turbo you only get 60hp so definitely not like the twin turbo. more efficient but not very powerful compared to the twin turbo. which is very unfortunate because I have one of the last Twin Turbo 335i and I hate to get rid of it for the new work single terrible especially since I just got upgraded turbos 2 months ago
I work at Bmw plant in greer actually :). www.bmw.com/com/en/insights/technology/efficientdynamics/phase_2/technology/engines.html It is 1 turbo, but the simplest way to put it is.... I gives the power of like 1 1/2 turbo's, its better than just a normal turbo, but not as good as 2 turbos
very nice explanation and what car is that are you going to pick the the 235. same here i want xdrive but im done with automatic. so i might get rwd 235 or i might get 435 with xdrive manual :). i wish they made 235xdrive manual
This one is slightly faster so it was a little more fun to drive but the interior finish I'll give to the S3! S3 - 0-60: 4.7sec M235i xdrive - 0-60: 4.4sec
Awesome car, I like the sound and the dark chrome design at the mirrors, exhaust and rims! Sounds like really a lot of power and performance! This car is now the original 3 series size from 1975 again. The new 3 series has grown too much. I like those small agile cars from BMW!! B.t.w. APPLE does have dealerships for ANY brand in PA, isn't it?? :D
I agree with 100%! The smaller agile cars are definitely do much more fun...especially this one! And yes, Apple does have a lot of dealerships but they're all super nice so I'm glad!
This is not a race car feel at all. It is very sedate, although it is quick. For the money go m2 and your car's value won't fall off a cliff in 5 years. The m badges are being put on everything these days because of product recognition that ru ns very deep in consumers of all demographics. However, I fear that the m badge is losing some cred in the process. Now this video reminds me of every other younger dude and their dog that wants to get into the biz. There is way to much reading of the stats and repeating 30 year old catch phrases like 50/50 weight distribution, yes like most BMWs in the performance category, we know.
The m2 is gauged like hell even now. It will hold its value over time better, but now you can get a 2016 235i with 15k miles for 34k. I say thats the bulk of the depreciation, it will go down in value but for what you get now its worth it.
Cool video bud but this is a twin scroll turbo, as in it spools quicker. The N54 engine had twin turbos, the N55 has one turbo. The S55 has twin turbos. Keep up the cool vids man
since when was m235i's n55 twin turbo.. you mean twin scroll single turbo?

Book times for the M235i auto non x-drive are 4.8 0-62 (0-100kph), 4.6 for 0-60. These times decrease by 2 sec for the M240I.
Just got this car, rear wheel, convertible, and I LOVE IT! I agree with Gold Pony completely. Best car I've ever owned!
How are you liking it so far?
Any issues ?
@@yonatanamaya9042 beside water pump and turbo waste gate rattle, N55 is bulletproof. hope he sold the car for new B58

not twin turbo
Its a single twin-scroll turbo
I just bought a used 2016 M235i today for $20k. What a deal!
Looking at buying one for similar price in the UK, any regrets or reasons you aint happy with your purchase?
$20k is a steal wtf

Mine is 4 days old. Having soooooooo much fun.
debating whether I should trade in my F30 3-series for this bad boy... it's tempting..
I have a 2021 M235 and i really like it

because I'm pretty sure it's just a single turbo
actually, its called Twin Power Turbo, Like 2 turbo's in one
www.popsci.com/content/two-one-turbocharger

doesn't matter though, only watched this video, do determine which BMW i'd lease :D i cant wait

Great video. Love the content
Thanks, appreciate it!
This is a car I should watch to buy used in a couple of years. 😉
+Jean-René Boutin It was definitely fun to drive!
Its been a couple of year so, you ready?
@@TrevorArteaga i wonder as well
Nghi Tran I just bought one today for $20k 😎
Outstanding video man.
Thanks!
Outstanding Review in every way ;-)
+John Howell Thanks!
I trust u, i just bought that shit, hope its as good as u say it is
Did you order? I will be ordering a '17 M240i xDrive in a month or two
it is twin turbo?
Really enjoyed your review! Keep up the great work. :-)
+Mark Clamucha Thanks, will do!
love the reviews...keep up the great work!
Thanks!
Gold Pony, next time you should ask for that manual trans....
How was the electric steering on this car?
+davedavis This was definitely one of my best drives so far this year. Had a blast driving it!
is this better than the new m2
This one or the Audi S3?
Wich one is faster? Wich one feels better?
This one is slightly faster so it was a little more fun to drive but the interior finish I'll give to the S3!
S3 - 0-60: 4.7sec
M235i xdrive - 0-60: 4.4sec
+Sven K. Audi S3 = Engine mounted in front of the front wheels.
If you are a proper driver, you would not want it.
+zemekiel what do you mean with that? the engine of the BMW is even mounted in the front.
+Sven K. Yes, but not in front of the front wheels.
great job , you should have more subscribers
+JRB Thanks, appreciate it!
good review i like ur channel
Thanks!
Seeing this years later, I live in York lol.
damn the m2 is about the same price than this with full options. just no sun roof which really sucks
bruh ive hit 140 with ease in my 2016 m235i she tops out at around 160
nice presentation.
Thanks!
Top speed is 155 mph if you opt for the pilot super sport :-)

The new M2 doesn't even have twin Turbo, much less this. TwinPower Turbo does not mean Twin Turbo.
+Enrique Caballero The TwinPower turbo is a TwinScroll single turbo system, not a Twin Turbo system. They are pretty similar, but not the same.
***** oh! haha! it happens..specially if you're watching car vids at 2:00am..
Consumer reports gave this car a 98/100. It is 98% of the performance of a Carrera S. I have a Estril blue '14
Lost Vegas showman style of car review, Lol.
get your parents to buy you one perhaps??
6:45 ewwww that texture on the dash! It looks like vulcanated rubber.
just bought an m235i. brand new crashed it first day
What happened? I'm curious because mine is currently in production.
+theunclear hit a corner going 100 in an unfamiliar area
+theunclear lucky it didn't flip. the m235i is a beast.
+theunclear like 8 grand or something in body work. hit a mail box and trash can. not going to say anymore cus this is a real story lol.
In that case, I'll still get the car. Lol
When you rev it too high the pops go away brah
That is not twin-turbo
I want this auto. I'd name it Freida
cut here, cut there, cut everywhere...edit.
Anyways........
Wau! You talk a lot ...
