In some parallel universe Ginzburg became the top gun in the West while Horowitz languished in the Soviet Union. Concurring with the other commenters, this is one of the best Campanellas I've ever heard, it certainly rang the right bells for me. Speaking of which, his recording of Liszt's "The Bells of Geneva" is particularly beautiful.
Everybody put so much effort to play that piece of music. But Gregory above all of them absolute technical perfection . This is the best performance I could imagine.
Ginzburg e' secondo me uno dei piu' grandi pianisti mai esistiti, tecnica sopraffina, potenza interpretativa sublime, semplicita' lineare di esecuzione.Un vero genio della tastiera....
Never mind the speed; the lightness of his touch in the first part of the piece is stupendous. And (apart from the little flourish at the very end) he doesn't mess about with the thing (e.g. Busoni 'transcription' - yuk!) like so many others of this period. Bravo Grigory!
True...along with Cziffra in my humble opinion those two could really convey the fantastic spirit of Liszt through an incredible technical range...which was only a way to serve emotion and not the reverse as too many tend to do...Think about it :-)

He is so relaxed and makes it seems so easy. :)

Гинзбург был любимым учеником Александра Гольденвейзера, который очень гордился тем, что некоторые знакомые ставили Гинзбурга выше Горовица.
FANTASTIC!! Please post any and all videos of Ginzburg that you have.
Thanks again for posting the GREAT video!
In addition to the extraordinarily brilliant playing, he manages to emphasize the funny qualities of the piece, still he's looking dead serious.
So glad to be introduced to this great pianist here. WOW
Wonderful!
wow, footage of Ginzburg! I didn't know it existed. Thanks, you've made my day!

Is there a 7 star rating for youtube? I reckon this is one of them!!!!!!!!

sono d'accordissimo con Scarlattatum
Is that Liszt’s Bechetein?
왜 반음이 높지? 옛날 카메라라 음질이 왜곡되는건가?
However, I feel that the sped up video does the interpretation no justice. I believe truecrypt's upload is in the correct tempo.
How unfortunate D:
Stalin was still alive !
