My name is Sally May. This video breakdown was truly a great analogy and delivered exceptionally well by you Simon. The content has helped me enormously in my career and I am truly grateful for your hints and expertise. I shall continue to view and like your videos when possible but just wanted to show my appreciation for your excellent service, advice and time you have spent on sharing your knowledge. I am based in Sittingbourne, Kent. Thank you very much once again.
There's also the "magic" of describing and representing the American way of life, style, guts, and entrepreneurial courage, which wins over much of the crowd. Americans - and those who admire it. Try to do this commercial in Mainland China and I'm pretty sure you won't get the same scores and traction.
Females will purchase products targeting strong decisive males. It makes them feel a kin to what he represents; subtly promoting this lifestyle. This commercial’s main character displaces, confidence and another female magnet character - humor. Although not “gorgeous” he sports a nice haircut, casually dressed but not showing his underwear either. He embodies his target audience (clear shaved) so decisively that he appeals to even the opposite demographic. Because most people; in general, prefer a healthy, clear look. Not all males can wear facial hair and one can never go wrong with a simple fresh, hygienic appearance.
I'm a little distracted when the advert begins because my eyes are immediately drawn to the little trinkets on the wall behind Mike---it almost looks like he's working out of a "Joke Shop"!
dancekyu19 Yep! I don’t support Marxism or socialist leftists. BLM is NOT about racism or police brutality against blacks. My money, my choice. Get woke, go broke!
You left because they donated? Praying for you! If something like that offends you that tells more than enough about your character.. next time do research before criticizing because right now it’s pure ignorance.

This ad is probably one of my favorite online ads. I signed up immediately after watching it and have been a Dollar Shave Club member since.
It’s great I still watch it to this day!

Great analysis! I'm currently reading a case study about Dollar Shave Club and just barely watched the commercial after so many years!

The actors used by the Harmon Brothers adds are from Studio C. A sketch comedy show found on BYUTV.

Roleeshea Sharae 😎 No need to pray for me. Pray for yourself. I’m immune to any shaming or criticism. Obviously you missed my point completely.
