Flight attendants are the female equivalent of a sailor. She gets to flight to exotic destinations and get invited to lots of parties.
They chase the lifestyle basically
I'm a pilot... and flight attendants work long, strange, wacky hours ending up in all kinds of cities, and partnering up where ever, whenever, sometimes with the pilots, sometimes with the passengers. The thing is, air travel is not cheap, lots and lots of business men, owners, well monied men on all those flights. A woman is never going to let her hypergamy go to waste in a target rich environment like that. Ever.
To be unplugged is to realize that there is always more to life than relationships alone
Got love bombed by a girl 10yrs younger. Ignored all the red flags. Kept frame for a solid year before I started getting thrown off my game. Cheated on me with a part-time employee at a vape shop guy that lives at home with his Mom and has anime stickers all over his car. My work is published in books and magazines, own several homes, 6’3, in excellent shape, attract women somewhat easily, and it still happened… You can do everything right, check all the boxes, but if you ignore the red flags you’ll still suffer. The red flags tell a story. She’s a stunningly beautiful girl with absurd Daddy issues and can’t stay in a relationship for more than 3 months… All my Chad power got me to a messily year. I own this and embrace the lesson without blaming anyone else. Shit sucks but it’s rocket fuel for growth.
Yep, seeing the people I really look up to go through it is insane. My best relationship was with a traditional girl with almost no red flags, trying to remind myself that they exist.
Not in LA, lived my whole life here, 65 years worth. Lots of pretty women, but almost all of them are bad apples. Certainly more so in your younger generation. I know way too many divorcee guys that still have to work because it's expensive to live here and she got half his retirement, and the house for the kids. I just don't think there is many traditional girls left in California.

When a woman compliments your life men tend to become complacent and stop chasing excellence. It feels like our brain tells us "this woman makes me happy, I want to make her happy" I will do XYZ for her. After reading the book I realized that women do not want that and what she wants is a man who does not focus on her and is more focused on achieving his goals. She may tell you I want you to do this but her action tells you a different story so don't fall into that trap because it going to suck for you.
I definitely noticed that in my situation. Complementing can't mean comforting, comfort is a race to the bottom. Rich reminded me that the Greek philosophers described happiness as "flourishing" for a reason. Growth is where it's at, comfort is for the birds, pun intended.
What a great guy I wish you the best. I've been trying to become a normal person the last ten years so take my advice and seek adventure! I'm 44 and kind of regret the last ten years or so. I also let my guard down with an older more well to do woman during the coof and almost moved in with her. Jesus I'm glad I didn't. Cheers and God Bless guys!

I moved every year growing up so when I finally got to settle down I think I became addicted to living for one or two people. Now that I’m aware, that’s my focus and it’s 80% amazing and rewarding, 20% like rewiring a computer from scratch.

I knew a boss girl named Donna, she was a lawyer ran the office she worked in, she was way over my head I would have rated her a 9 in looks (my opinion) a girl I believe had a very low body count then she love bombed me, then started stocking me was trying to take over my daughters life ( I was a single father) after only 3 dates, I ran I knew it going to be trouble had to call the cops at one point just to make sure I wasn't going to be a statistic, I truly believe the hotter they are the crazy-ier they are lol

You're 34..... which means you can EASILY start a family for another 10 years or more. The more into YOU you become.... the more you invest in YOURSELF.... the more you DONT HAVE to chase women - They will chase you. You spin 4-6 plates at a time, and "maybe" one worth keeping will come along, maybe she won't. Either way, no worries. You do you.

If you're a team, getting you a sandwich or a cup of coffee while you work on the car or the roof is just teamwork. She's not submitting. She's agreeing. I'd say that at least half of the problems men and women have in relationships is that more and more men are taking longer and longer to grow the hell up and pull their damn weight. We're not growing up as fast, if at all, by and large. Oh there are still lots of alpha males, but there are more and more guys in their 20s and 30s with no real marketable skills, either living off their parents, with their parents, or working a job a monkey could do, which is enough to get them a beater car, some decent-looking clothes, and maybe a crappy apartment. Those guys aren't marriage material. But they're handsome and they're out clubbing every weekend (and some week days).
I think there'd be fewer Peter Pans and ne'er-do-wells if women, for their part, didn't indulge our adolescent fantasies and desires. A lot of us men only grow up because they HAVE to grow up. "All these things I want. The freedom to do this thing or that thing I want. The only person who's at all interested in my having those things is ME and my future mate." If we want a mate, we must improve ourselves. Most of us men want kids, especially sons.

Sounds similar to something i went through, dated this lawyer boss becky during the pandemic and she was definetely a narcissist, discarded me after our first vcation together after initial lovebombing and spoiling me with homecooked meals in her nice condo etc. I think you should read up on narcissistic behaviour and avoid those red flags going forward

I think he’s asking what else is there outside of having a family. The reality is having a family and a woman by our side is why men do these things. Eventually, you can be in shape and have money but what’s the point. We do this all for women, if he isn’t going to have children then what’s the point. Can’t really chase excellence if you’re elderly, that only last so long.

That's a great point, trying to remind myself of that. I'm more of a "yacht uncle," like I want to visit the yacht without having to change the diapers. I definitely have some leveling up to do though with my own values.
