Harvesting Tulip Bulbs in netting. Maybe you remember the video of the Earth Eater bulb harvester ( • Tulpenbollen rooien / ... ) This year I filmed the harvest again on this farm and as you can see there is a lot changed. The Earth Eater is no more and instead the company is switched to netting cultivation and the harvest is done using tree new Koops special build lifters for 2.25m wide beds. The bulbs are planted squashed between the 2 nets and, come harvest, lifted out of the ground without soil. At the end of the video we also have a sort peak inside the barns where the bulbs are cleaned and sorted ready for sales.
Thanks for watching!

Same to you, and much thanks for all the videos you have made.
One question: how come some bulb growers choose to use the net method, and some not ...? Is one slightly less labour intensive than the other and/or use less water in washing ...?
Same to you TS, keep up the great videos.

7:01 - oh that look
Mooie video. Ook mooie machines. Wel jammer dat je dan nieuwe rooiers koopt en dat er dan geen bescherming zit om de aftakas.
👍😎💪❤️
Like # 69 he he he he
Or should that be ho ho ho given that tomorrow is Christmas Day?
Anyway, Tractorspotter has given us all a wonderful video to enjoy over Christmas.
Truly an amazing video of the workings of a vast Tulip bulb farm. I am a bit saddened by the news that the Earth Eater machine is no more as I suspect that it was that video which first drew me to Tractorspotter's channel. I did notice in this video just how many of the sheds had solar panels on top.
Merry Christmas Tractorspotter
How many blubs does plant produce ?
Amazing Video 👍
Brilliant camera angles with fantastic Drone shots!!
(Can I ask what drone do you use?) & (Are you using Gopros magnetised on machines?)
Merry Christmas To you!!

What are the birds eating?
Can the netting be cleaned and reused...Merry Christmas from Ontario Canada
Given that they went to the effort of rolling it up on a reel I would say that the answer is yes.
Merry Christmas fellow Ontarionan!
Normally only the bottom net is cleaned and reused, the top net get's more damaged because of the tulips growing trough it.
There is a company specialised in this recycling process, and they are rapidly expending their business. The company is named ‘Kok Nettencleaning’. Look it up.
Superbe video comme d'habitude avec une belle explication visuel . Bonne fête de fin d'année en famille. A l'année prochaine pour de belle vidéo de chez vous
I wonder what effect the size of the bulb will have on the flower?
Gunship normally the bigger the bulb the ‘heavier’ the plant. Not necessarily the length, but the net weight.
@@MrJack2200 Oh ty for replying and Merry Christmas ☺
What's the song called at 5:37
How is it that tulips are that big of a money maker?
Somebody please explain what they do with these tulip bulbs. Are they eaten?
Sold to people so they can use them to plant flowers
0:53 mooie challenger met 3 assige haspel😂
Idd gaat echt nergens over we zijn toch niet in Amerika
7:58 what when wrong there
a lot of people only for "flowers" :O
I was thinking similar thoughts until I realized that flowers are also important for feeding the soul.
@Dr Moriarty because surrounding yourself with stuff you consider beautifull leads to increased happyness and productivity
Co się z tym dalej robi?
What are Tulips? Are they an onion?
No a flowerbulb.
So, they harvest a field of flowers?
I have more than 15 years of experience in tractor driving. Can i get the tractor driver job in Europe, America, Australia etc.? Please assist me....
