I have taken to wearing dresses because my body isn't as nice as it used to be. I think a nice A-line is flattering and very comfortable. I live in Florida so it also helps with the hot and humid climate. Camilla looks lovely and I would love to have hats like she wears! My current go to hat needs to be replaced but those hats are too pretty for working in the garden!

I love the maxi/ midi length and have found my confidence in these style dresses. Plus, the fabrics are good as are the prices. My post menopausal body suits this style and I've rediscovered my confidence

Had the Waleses been thrust into such a poorly planned visit to Nigeria, they would have behaved with humility, respect and aplomb. Fiona Clare who designs many of the Queen's dresses absolutely knows what's best. And the Queen totally suits large (sometimes VERY large!) hats. So... totally agree with you about her style. Perfect for her.
She can also rock a statement tiara like nobody else! Catherine looks beautiful in the more demure pieces, but the Queen has the hair and the confidence to wear the more dramatic tiaras with style!

I watched videos of her when she was young and she was quite striking. Now that she has come into her own she is now looking quite beautiful. I love the way she is dressing and I must admit that I love the hats! I wear hats all of the time and hers are my favorites.

Hello Beebs,...I can't add much to what you said. Some things were poignant this weekend that some may not have focused on. One, which may not be too interesting, was that Prince Andrew was seen in Windsor Park with his little bro, Edward, the Duke of Edinburg, coaching, practicing, and showing him the protocol on his horse at trooping the color. Andrew has always been big on the details required of the royals. I felt a ping of tenderness for him....as reprehensible his history has been, he's actually behind the scenes supporting his family and not sitting around feeling sorry for himself. Edward is the one in the family who tends to cut him some slack. At least I saw some Cristian humility between the brothers. Lasty, when the rains came down in buckets, not one person in the whole event ran for shelter. That was especially true of Willian, Edward, and Princess Anne with raindrops running down their faces not flinching ... everyone showing that British spirit of staying calm and carrying on. But I lost it when I saw King Charles standing in the pouring rain, stoic and honorably saluting his troups as they passed in front of Buckingham Palace. Then the sun came out!
I adore Camilla’s hats! It’s my favorite thing about her, fashion wise. The bigger the better - particularly the chip & dip style ones she wears. I also think 2025 is going to be a very interesting year for Harry, he’s supposed to get his full inheritance from the queen mother, and the Netflix contract ends.

They left because they wanted to do it all how they wanted, when they wanted. They didn't like being part of a team and not having full control, and they didn't like being in a supporting, junior role. They also wanted to cherrypick, and only do the interesting/glamorous/high profile jobs in order to build a separate brand so they could do merching as a sideline, which of course was also forbidden.

I have taken to wearing dresses because my body isn't as nice as it used to be. I think a nice A-line is flattering and very comfortable. I live in Florida so it also helps with the hot and humid climate. Camilla looks lovely and I would love to have hats like she wears! My current go to hat needs to be replaced but those hats are too pretty for working in the garden!

I love the maxi/ midi length and have found my confidence in these style dresses. Plus, the fabrics are good as are the prices. To top it off, there was an announcement from the British Ambassador to the effect that it was in no way an official visit. A total shambles.

Hello Beebs,...I can't add much to what you said. Some things were poignant this weekend that some may not have focused on. One, which may not be too interesting, was that Prince Andrew was seen in Windsor Park with his little bro, Edward, the Duke of Edinburg, coaching, practicing, and showing him the protocol on his horse at trooping the color. Andrew has always been big on the details required of the royals. I felt a ping of tenderness for him....as reprehensible his history has been, he's actually behind the scenes supporting his family and not sitting around feeling sorry for himself. Edward is the one in the family who tends to cut him some slack. At least I saw some Cristian humility between the brothers. Lasty, when the rains came down in buckets, not one person in the whole event ran for shelter. That was especially true of Willian, Edward, and Princess Anne with raindrops running down their faces not flinching ... everyone showing that British spirit of staying calm and carrying on. But I lost it when I saw King Charles standing in the pouring rain, stoic and honorably saluting his troups as they passed in front of Buckingham Palace. Then the sun came out!
Did you notice P Anne on Noble(the Kings difficult horse) had a look of real concern while watching the king towards the end of the Kings saluting.

Exactly, she is still that person. The best thing she could have done for a happy life was to follow and emulate her father and his values and actions. She saw him as a loser when in reality he was a much more centered, ethical and capable person than she will ever be.

She's not from the lower middle class. She was from solid middle class. Vacations, private school, paid for university. We so called lower middle class were just above the poverty line, we paid for everything ourselves and were not spoiled rotten. Mostly we have manners or we would have gotten smacked.
Anyone who has respect and love for their partner and the partner’s family, and is hard working, could succeed as a royal. Look at Catherine as a great example of that. Meghan failed because she didn’t want to learn and didn’t respect the RF.
