Very nice comparison. I prefer the Hazet and Wiha brands because it tends to be more precise and compatible with Japanese bits. Also, although it wasn't included in the review; the Wiha bits and bit holders are excellent - E.g. their Centrofix line of bit holders. I would rank them above the Wera as well. I believe what makes Wera unique is their creativeness in their product line. For example, I like the Wera ratcheting handle #826T and the Wiha 1/4 inch to 4 mm adapter to use precision bits; together. That way I can use the ratcheting feature with my iFixit bits. I suppose it all has to do with what you are working on. I tend to work on electronics and computers, so my opinions for tool use is highly affected by that. However, I have also done construction and machining, so the tools I use for that tend to be more heavy duty construction and reliability.
It seems that somebody has placed a huge markup on the Hazet kit down there! In the UK, the Wera price is similar. Hazet would be 150AUD when converted. As good as both of these kits are, bit locking handles (from the same manufacturers) are inexpensive with much improved functionality.
Great content man. Few tips. Use a tripod or reduce Camara frame rate down below 30fps. Reduce your into to only a few seconds. Check out how to colour calibrate your video grading. Hope these help and love to see your channel grow!
For me there is a problem to have both tamper and normal torx within the same set. These kits are great but I think they could do a bit better when it comes to space management. I tend to favor somewhat bigger kits while being small but with a better difference. They tend to have a more complete socket set and most importantly a comprehensive set of bits. Sometimes it can be better to get two sets one for sockets and the others for bits. The good thing is getting mini bit kits with handles is relatively easy. But the sockets isn't there is fewer options and you tend to not have the very best although Sometimes I got something comprehensive like 5.5 to 14 with no skips.

I mention other configurations even if I'm not specific with items and brands. I mean they are great for techs, for bikers and so on. I just think at times they can do better. I do think that because of the other brands and I even seen people doing 3d printing for such. I also seen interesting tools proposing 2 in 1 sockets or rings, low profile sockets and even storage of sockets or bits inside the handle. Although the innovative thing in the hazet are the long bits. I wish to see more sets with long bits.
Not sure what happened to them. I worked a few times with a Wera ratchet set (not this one) and it was a joy. I looked to buy the set for myself but the price was unbelievable. They have come down in price, but according to some people, the quality has as well. I went with a set from Gedore (their budget Red line), haven’t been disappointed yet.
HAZET is definitely one of the Worlds best, however I still rate the Wera Tool Check as one of the best little tool sets on the market. I went for the Hazet Smart Holder in this head to head.
@@JC_1095 The family owner retired and sold the company in 2016. The new owners don't have the attention to detail. Small things, rust on fairly new tools etc. I still think they are OK but the for the price I expect more. Similar priced tools from Wiha and PB Swiss are still quality
Of course, what no one tells you, is that out of all those bits, you'll only ever use three, and the rest is a waste of money, because: 1. You already have those from three different sets you got, and 2. You never, ever, use them.
Hmm, the 8mm hex is overkill for the 1/4” small ratchet. The Wera sockets have deeper groves, the set is more compact, so it’s a winner in my business.

The old wera tool check plus had a slide button to release the bit selection . I guess wera is cutting costs or maybe they had issues with the button design. The case also isn't the sturdiest. My case broke and I had to glue it back but the tool kit is excellent.

Wera also has a 8mm hex it's in the top left.
Also on the wera bitholder you can just push the bit straight in you don't have to pull the holder up.
Wera set meteic is $66 us. Hazet is 2x the price. Wera set has gone diwn in quality

Going against the flow I guess, I would buy the Hazet. Wera seems to be trading on a name whilst the quality has dropped.

Hi Mate, Yes you are correct, one of the reasons is many people didn't know that the logo was a slide button and they were forcing it open.
