Love the knipex pliers. The bigger bolts on a car might be a problem, but in an industrial setting theyre just fine. Our presses have a 15/16" overpressure valve that have to clean out from time to time. Regulars pliers are a nogo with them, but the knipex ones i have are just as good as a crescent wrench.
8:40 ?? Wera is also german brand !! What are you talking about !! Btw wera bits just push them in the bit holder 😅
I love my Wera TCP
I have zero doubt the PB Swiss are the best bits in existence. I know this because I cannot afford them.
Gedore 1B or 7XL 😉😀
What is the price?!?
A quick google has their website saying $18,226.12. Not for me.
@@peterstone5356 tried searching as well but couldn't find in US at least, figured it would be crazy
I don't believe you about these are the best tools. Prove it and send me one of each please for my own evaluation. I also don't like Porsches so, if you want to change my mind send one for evaluation too please, preferably a turbo S or a GT2 RS. LOL.
Ok Mate, Its in the Mail!!!

Of course, what no one tells you, is that out of all those bits, you'll only ever use three, and the rest is a waste of money, because: 1. You already have those from three different sets you got, and 2. You never, ever, use them.
I generally have to customize the bit kits because they don’t have all of ones I need…
I was on the fence about buying one the sets, but you’re right. I’m decided not to buy either.
Wera is ok , but i never realy got the feeling for them , allways grap one of the other ones.... but must say had them for 10+ years they are still around The Old Bacho , the one with the green handle is somting I miss
Great short video, but an important note: Wera is not a Czech manufacturer, but a German manufacturer! Greetings from Germany!
Wir wissen das Wera ist Deutsch firma. But majority of these great tools are made in Czech or in Poland :)
Unfortunately, Wera has become like many previous German tool makers. Most of their manufacturing isn't German anymore. The good news is, they're still in Europe unlike "some" manufacturers (Wiha) who went straight to Southeast Asia for most of their manufacturing. At least you guys have Knipex though. You can always count on them.
If I Wera carpenter I’d say it has better bits, or Hazet really?
Hallo, ich mag Hazet!
I bet I smells so good in there
Good video. YOU PRONOUNCE THE K in knipex
What is the best tool bit set?? neither one was put to the test
Hi Mate, I own the Wera and rate it highly. I think in this review I go with the Hazet.
The old wera tool check plus had a slide button to release the bit selection . I guess wera is cutting costs or maybe they had issues with the button design. The case also isn't the sturdiest. My case broke and I had to glue it back but the tool kit is excellent.
Hi Mate, Yes you are correct, one of the reasons is many people didn't know that the logo was a slide button and they were forcing it open.
Ten bucks says I break the end of the wera way before I do any damage to the knipex. I don’t own wera tools because they look like cheap gimmick tools I can break. They’re perfect for house tools but not trade.
Some of their tools are very good professional quality. But with the jokers specifically I think I saw a Project Farm do a test on them and they were one of the weakest of spanner heads in the competition. It’s a trade-off for the mechanism.
Interesting, I sell to professional mechanics every day of the week in the Mobile Tool truck and they all seem to love and rate the Wera highly.
@@TOOLCENTRALGARAGE, interesting indeed. Seems like all the positive reviews come from people selling their tools or getting paid to promote Wera on their tool channels.
@@TheCherokeeKidd , Did you ever think the reason I sell brands like Wera & Knipex are because they are quality tools!
@@TOOLCENTRALGARAGE, I’m glad that you stand behind the products you sell and I’m sure Wera’s tools are good quality, but im personally not sold on the Joker wrenches. PipeVise has The micro 5 and The Amigo and the cost of this two tools is about 150 USD. Cost less than a set of Wera jokers wrenches and takes up less space with a lifetime warranty. You should check them out.
Wera is great, but PB Swiss is greater
Your comments regards the Knipex not being ratcheting is totally incorrect, they do the same as the Wera.
Thanks for your comment, I wouldn't say its totally incorrect as the Wera can lock on with its jaw and the Knipex can't, however I will concede that with a little practice you can use a ratcheting motion.
Once you get used to the Knipex Pliers/Wrench, it is easy to use it like a ratchet. Just choose the right setting, when you apply pressure and turn the nut or bolt, let up on the pressure and ratchet back and the jaws open up and move to the position to get the next turn.
Interesting I hadn't found that when i tried it initially, but I see it can be used in a similar way. However it doesn't lock in like the Wera with its cut out in the jaw. Thanks for commenting.
Wow!! what a great price, i beeter get one soon 👍👍
Thanx for the vid!
Thanks Mate, appreciate the comment.
Neither for me. I tried Knipex, but the teeth kept sheering off on big jobs. For small plumbing stuff, I am sure they are fine, but not for real work. Wera is just overpriced for the quality.
What do you recommend then ?
I've got the big knipex ones that he does not have there with jaws that have a T shape when cut in half. If you manage to break those, I do not know what you are doing tbh... else I suggest you give those a try as they are awesome 😊

Hmm, the 8mm hex is overkill for the 1/4” small ratchet. The Wera sockets have deeper groves, the set is more compact, so it’s a winner in my business.
Idk how I feel about Pb Swiss they Have that Nice tip design on the Flat head/ Slotted Screwdrivers. for everything else the handle design and Construction of the screwdriver seems run of the mill Idk how I could justify spending almost 3 times the cost of the competition for a set, for these…
Thanks for the video. I've found the PB Swiss screwdrivers and bits to be superior for gripping screws when compared with the Wera screwdrivers and bits. What I mean by that is that I can put a screw on the end of the screwdriver or bit (tip pointing up) and the PB Swiss will hold it if I turn it upside down whereas the Wera usually drops the screw. This may not happen with all Wera but it does with some of mine. I have some firsthand experience with the above. My only constructive comment on the PB Swiss is that they don't do a heavy duty version of Pozi-drive with the through handle blade and hexagonal bolster. Just a friendly heads-up that you need to fix your camera or lens as the video is washed out which is very distracting making it hard to watch.
Wera is uncomfortable for my hand
You might be holding it wrong.
@@olvera6710 Steve Jobs everyone
PB for me, great screwdrivers, been using them since the 83 or so.
For me the Wera is out because of the overmolding. Sometimes I get pretty grimy, messy and sloppy working. So I need tools I can wipe down. Not ones that are going to trap dirt and fluids. I never understood any of those soft grip tools. That crap would look like the dog's breakfast if I used them.
Great content man. Few tips. Use a tripod or reduce Camara frame rate down below 30fps. Reduce your into to only a few seconds. Check out how to colour calibrate your video grading. Hope these help and love to see your channel grow!
These are genuinely good tips imo and with the thorough comparison he could have much success
Thanks for the tip
I prefer my PB Swiss screwdrivers and nut drivers to any other brand.
PB drives me nuts?
Wiha screwdrivers are my go too but the few PB Swiss tools I own are on another level in terms of quality
I have bought several wera tools some are good some not so much . I have tried more than once to get a hold of wera so they could make good with the bad ones & have not heard from them .
So, you're saying they were no Wera to be found?
@@1pcfred what I'm saying they wera no wera to he found
@@brendangriffin1791 customer service is what separates the best from the rest. We all hope we never need it but when you need it then you really need it.
It seems that somebody has placed a huge markup on the Hazet kit down there! In the UK, the Wera price is similar. Hazet would be 150AUD when converted. As good as both of these kits are, bit locking handles (from the same manufacturers) are inexpensive with much improved functionality.
Wera also has a 8mm hex it's in the top left. Also on the wera bitholder you can just push the bit straight in you don't have to pull the holder up.
Yes he doesnt know what he is reviewing 😅
Never found my wera that comfortable. The rubber inserts deteriate after some time. I reach for pb swiss girst but only have a few as cost. The felo ergonomic are excellent but the markings on the handle top wear off. Irazola have parrellel tips also . Truely they best design for slotted screws. If my wallet was big enuff it would be pb every time.
Can you get Pb swiss in UK .. any links ...
With difficulty. Only quality tools was superb but has now closed down. Hoffman group has massive choice. Bit cheaper than eBay etc if buying a few as postage is high.
@@ks-hg5vo This sounds daft but the cheapest way I have found is Amazon jp. Japan. They are competitively priced in Japan.
Very nice comparison. I prefer the Hazet and Wiha brands because it tends to be more precise and compatible with Japanese bits. Also, although it wasn't included in the review; the Wiha bits and bit holders are excellent - E.g. their Centrofix line of bit holders. I would rank them above the Wera as well. I believe what makes Wera unique is their creativeness in their product line. For example, I like the Wera ratcheting handle #826T and the Wiha 1/4 inch to 4 mm adapter to use precision bits; together. That way I can use the ratcheting feature with my iFixit bits. I suppose it all has to do with what you are working on. I tend to work on electronics and computers, so my opinions for tool use is highly affected by that. However, I have also done construction and machining, so the tools I use for that tend to be more heavy duty construction and reliability.
Thanks for the videos, definitely going to come and have a look, all my favourite brands!
Both great! PB Swiss my fav 👍
I like them both.
Any Knipex pliers or screwdrivers to review?
yes Mate, I will be talking about Knipex in the next few weeks!
