PFT is such a uniquely entertaining comedian. Great storyteller, great delivery and structure. Saw him a few days ago at the Largo and he had me howling!
No disrespect intended. Wondering if it's just me or does his delivery seem a little off in this one. Please, not intending to flame. I'm normally bowled over laughing at Paul F.T. In this one I think the material is good but the timing/inflections are a little off. Or it's the dead crowd response. Anyway just asking for other opinions because there were several places I thought I should be getting a laugh but it didn't come. And yeah, I'm not trying to pick on anybody. Everybody has off moments. I'm looking for a discussion of what you think.
@@paulwilliams3748 You raise a good point about anecdotal. I think Paul F.T. shines when he gets relaxed and chummy with a crowd. His style is more conversational and the less rehearsed it comes off the better. Thanks for you input.
The bit just sucks. Who would even think of this as something to talk about? The bit is literally, there's a painting of an old guy, and the painting depicts him wearing a wig, and why didn't he just make it look like real hair. Dude that is not a fucking comedy bit. If my co-worker told me that story I would be like "Why is this person even talking to me about this right now?" This dude literally thought this was something worth taking onto a comedy stage and performing for a large audience. This fucking STUNK.
@@ML-kx9gz No, it's the audience at these Just For Laughs shows are super square and only like obvious jokes and comedians. Every one I've seen the audience is half asleep unless they're telling mother-in-law jokes.
Isn't that the dog from Mr. Peanutbutter's house?
@Anthony Hathaway OMG! Mr. Peanutbutter and Paul F. Tompkins in the same building, what is this, a crossover episode ?
No. It’s Champion the Drinker.
Yes. Also on Mr. Show w/ Bob n David. Peep THAT show

PFT is suave AF. Wish I could hire him as my personal stylist.
The old man monologue is genius
Doggy doggy what now?
When I watch the video I don't hear Mr. Peanutbutter, but when I don't look at it I hear Mr. Peanutbutter
It’s like a more chill version of Mr. Peanutbutter, not so “HELLO EVERYBODY” ya know
FORGET Bojack Horseman for a minute and peep Mr. Show w/ Bob and David. Paul F. T is in THAT amazing show.
the 5 minute version of this joke does it no justice
“Huh, wig.”

LOL “it’s a painting”
one of my favorite humans
Who's that dawg?
God Damn Paul, that was well done.
What is this? A crossover episode?
He looks like an old timey southern lawyer.

He's being a condescending prick, like that twerp Tig Notaro.
Sometimes his work is hit or miss he did a funeral bit that i thought was funny but also didn't connect with most of the audience
you aren't wrong to speculate why pft sucks balls bro, look at the space between his to front teeth, that's where all his jokes went.

Seriously!!!
Publisher Russell Shein.
He does look like Mr. Peanutbutter
Isn’t comedy supposed to be funny?
You strike me as a person who thinks family guy is funny
He needs to work on this routine, it's too meandering and got boring fast.
Did not laugh once.
Thanks for the report.
L Jensen no problem
Hahahaha I laughed at this interaction
hollyyy cringe!!!11
MR. PEANUTBUTTER!!!!!
A national treasure! At the very least, has made countless numbers of people's commutes not be hellish nightmares.
Might want to correct the spelling of the last name.
That's how you spell it.
Ironically, dude is dressed like a magician...
PFT is a genius comic, this crowd was a dud.
it was a lame bit.
sometimes your jokes suck, he has all the charisma of a fucking kraft single.

I'm pretty sure I hear Paul say, "Close enough." at the very end
I think he says bonsoir (goodnight in French). He also says it at the beginning, with a funny voice.

He does look like Mr. Peanutbutter
This video brought to you by PB Livin'.
One of my fav Tompkins jokes! Five Stars!
S A D D O G
Maybe the toupee looked better?
They'll have to rename this show
It takes a lot if chutzpah for someone with Paul F. Tompkins's fashion sense to make jokes about people who get beat up. 😛
erica?
Who's that dog?
Too short
He's taking too long to make a joke
I like Paul F. Tompkins but ... I just realized that, "He might not be funny".
Comedy is also subjective so sure, but to you
