I didn’t go to the dentist for years, they were very nice to me and pretty painless. Just thought I’d throw that out there for anyone freaking out, it’s funny but it wasn’t as bad for me personally.

Funny story. I was always calm and never yelled at at the dentist. But when I was 7, I had something wrong with me that they were pretty sure was cancer, to the point they had to tell me I would likely lose my leg and possibly die to prepare me. I had to have all these tests done like MRI, CAT, bonescans, etc, and even when I was silently crying in fear, the nurses would be yelling their heads off at me to stay still. Threatening to sedate me with another needle, which I was already terrified of.
Yep. Really funny story. It wasn't cancer by the way, they found out during the biopsy. Wish they did that first.
