PFT doesn't tell jokes: He acts out full sketches. He's an actor first and foremost. He *likes* to act out the sketch-jokes. He was a writer on various sketch comedy shows. I'm not trying to be a PFT apologist, but he has staunch fans that love his comedic acting style, which really lends itself to the improv comedy podcasts he does.
The three-piece suit, the mustache, and the styled hair all are indicative of a 1950s executive during the canned peanut brittle age. Being this funny is the real pleasant surprise here.
His delivery is less stiff and a lot funnier on the albums ("The Sink and the Mirror" from _Freak Wharf_ and "Peanut Brittle" from _Impersonal_ which strangely predate this performance) . The longer he riffs on a subject, the funnier he gets.
I had an apartment with the linen closet in the bathroom, and the door had a full length mirror on it. The problem was, it was across from the sink and medicine cabinet, which also had a mirror, so when you looked in the mirror to, say, shave, you'd see the other mirror, and get that infinite regression of mirrors effect. Every time I looked in the mirror I tried to avoid seeing the infinite regression, because I've seen enough horror movies to worry that five or seven or however many iterations into the regression I'd see something that shouldn't be there.
He doesn’t appreciate the long hours put in by the children of poor countries in those peanut brittle canning factories. It is obviously a rare occurrence the snakes have gotten past them.
For the size of the novelty peanut brittle snake can, the updated can design had better be marked as a "single serving snack pack". It would only hold like 3 or 4 decent sized pieces.
this is the man who we need seeking positions in government: sure he's less funny than comedians, but compare him to conservative republicans trying to be funny: see what I'm saying, it's all context.
im sorry these jokes just suck .like there was potential but he just over explained and ran them into the ground . like he seems like hes funny but the jokes just arent funny .
We all know Scott Aukerman is who Paul is envisioning as the one offering him canned peanut brittle
I heard the Mr. Peanut Butter voice coming out with the Peanut Brittle joke lol
what time
Same 🤣

Why would he need an apologist? Why would that - the notion of being a PFT apologist - even be a criticism you would guard yourself against?
Such a brilliant and Underrated comic. Truly a genius.

Canned peanut brittle? The most normal snack for everyone even to this day?
"the phrase "excuse me" would have to be used" - made me laugh out loud for real
Is that the horse from full house?
*it’s you and me buddy*
See’s him for the first one second

It’s SOOOOOO weird watching JFL videos, they laugh so lightly.
This is the first time I've seen PFT not wearing a bowtie.
It’s like having teeth pulled in the best possible way! 😂
Loves me some wholesome comedy!!!
Who knew Mr Peanut-butter was so handsome and dapper ☺️
I’m just here for Mr peanutbutter
Mr. Peanut butter brought me here
Nonstop footage of a jukebox is a weird idea of comedy
3:45 this is all mr pb talking
I wish PFT would do standup again.
Zoom to 2:05 the Peanut Brittle joke is the BEST!!!

Let me open the can 😂
Mr Peanutbutter kinda cool with mustache
Mr. Peanutbutter for president
I love the peanut brittle routine but it's SO much better in its full length. This short bit doesn't hit as hard.
"Excuse me" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I feel like this was written earlier in his career
Great peanut brittle bit.....
PFT: national treasure.
That is one well dressed comedian
You’d know more than anyone else Frank Doyle
He sure got a lot of mileage out of two jokes.
That's kind of his thing.
The clean comedy feels like Christian summer camp 😆
It's a TV show. You should listen to PFT on his podcast. Dude is the Best!
He's so dreamy
PFT for president
I need a bumper sticker that says TOMPKINS/AUKERMAN 2024
solid set
Man that was Sexy ,Bravo
Paul is a funnier version of Steven Crowder
Would be better with something funny in it.
Meh
You could drive a dump truck through those front teeth

People are such idiots. All they need to see is a suit and they go, “Gee he looks official. Let’s put him in charge of something.”
@@NAConen so.. no uniforms then? Just ripped jeans, leather jackets, slick back hair and a 'tude that says "this ain't yo' grandaddy's government."
Comedian you say huh?
I don't believe anyone said that
He's way better on comedy bang bang ngl
I like PFT as a person but i don't care for his comedy
I don’t like him as a person.
@@NAConen Do you like his comedy?
@@internziko Nah not really. I clicked because I’d never seen it before.
I'm so confused by this thread
His improv is epic but I don’t enjoy his stand-up, I hate to say.
That’s was 1 ov the worst comedy sets I’ve seen why were people laughing???
You’re calling out his comedy?
I’m calling out your grammar.
man this guy really just isn't funny
thats only your opinion. He's very funny. ( in my opinion).
Okay so at least we know wearing an expensive suit doesn't make you funny
im sorry these jokes just suck .like there was potential but he just over explained and ran them into the ground . like he seems like hes funny but the jokes just arent funny .
Nope. Not true
Think the Teeth make him funny to look at. Other then that I am more funny then him and I’m not even funny
You children are so cute. You'll come to love PFT when you start exploring.
Ugh this is so tedious.
