This was absolutely great and therapeutic. As a single woman I'm soaking these lessons all up. I really appreciate each and every couple and their vulnerability, especially from the men. Please keep making great content Black Love! 💖
So am i , I am loving that when the pastor said that he need help and it showed that he was humbel more black men needed to see this and that he step out on faith said that he needed mental healing as well
The show itself is a breath of fresh air that allows us to see black love and what we encounter as couples. The After Show is icing on the cake in allowing us to see more. Thanks so much for this! Keep it coming!
I signed up for counseling after this.🛋 It's been on my heart for a while, but this confirmed it. Financially and for calibration - I need it!!🙌🏾 Thank you for this and all of the honest, open conversations on Black Love!!🖤 I love Black Love!!🤎🖤❤
It’s true what they’re saying that all couples need to seek therapy before giving up on their marriage. Also, all individuals need to seek personal one on one therapy for themselves. We all need it, no matter our status
I sincerely appreciate the honesty and the vulnerability everyone had in this episode. It’s difficult to openly share your experiences and challenges in such a public way, but it’s also helpful and inspiring for others to glean insights from, whether single or in relationships. This series is so important and we’re so grateful to have it.
Ms. Codie is giving me Snow White and LOVE IT!!😍😍....I'm loving the transparency of this season's couples too! "Sometimes you need Jesus & your meds!" ---Pastor Dwight! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
90 high ego. Wow. My husband. Learned this today......thank you. Struggling here.....26 years in August. I learned so much....therapy works. I need that check up. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think it’s very important when you are exposed to other peoples marriages and relationships because it gives you good examples of what you want and do want in yours.
My GOD! I totally love the wisdom, transparency and evident ground work reflected. From no tearing down our teammate to "space & grace." Words are weapons! The power is found in the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21) A plan is needed and check ups! Stigma is death! Fear & lack of knowledge causes stagnation, withering/deterioration then death. Again, I have to say THE LOVE IS REAL! Positioning during the lows is everything. I heard a preacher once say, as a couple you fight your battles standing back against back. So you are facing the outside threats yet covering each others back! I Love BLACK LOVE!
I really appreciated their radical transparency. So wonderful to see what it actually takes to make it to 5, 10, 20 years. Thank you for sharing your story
Lady with the choker: "Men are 90 - High % Ego.." Men: *Immediately crosses their arms and the pout face comes on* Kita: Look at the mens' body language! Lol Men: Immediately uncrossed their arms.. Me: BOOM GOT EM!!! That was such a hilariously true statement!!! 😊🤣🤣🤣💯👌🏾
I really appreciate both couples honesty. I now see Kita in a most positive light than what I saw in the last video. I was totally wrong about her & husband. #BlackLove
I was thinking the same thing: a new light was shone on that couple that wasn't necessarily there in what we saw on tv. I enjoyed getting to hear more from them.
This was so profoundly insightful. We all struggle. That word TRAUMA that was mentioned is something I discovered recently in ways I had not known before, had no idea how that word was such a significant part of me. What Joe said about the depths of trauma in this video is so point about how it affects a person’s core without even knowing...
This was an amazing, buestiful expression of what we can be for eachother as black folks, a balm and a boost. As a single person it gave me hope and direction, a few laugh out louds and deep moments of clarity.
“We all have our traumas that we don’t even recognize are traumas” so important to seek therapy to deal with those traumas before and during merging into one Therapy in the black community is not discussed enough. You are not crazy!!
I appreciate how this talk shed light on the personal and emotional aspects of finances, or how other struggles can either cause or be exacerbated by it. It’s a beautiful thing to hold strong together. That’s real and true.
As a recent newlywed, getting married ‘young’ was a fear for me! Luckily we did therapy the entire first year of our engagement and without, we probably wouldn’t have tied the knot back in December. Helped us really understand how to love one another intentionally. This show gives us such an awesome blueprint for how we can model our marriage ❤️ hope to be on it one day to share our story... because we have PLENTY😂 keep up the great content!!
I missed this episode but I definitely agree and can relate to a lot things that were mentioned. I don’t have any married friends so hearing and seeing married couples going through similar things is sooooooooooo helpful 🙏🏽👏🏽
Idk she's more into what she sees on the reality TV shows involving couples. She likes the tasks that the counselor gives them. I guess going to a therapist and talking out issues isn't good enough
100% Real talk discussion. I truly appreciate all the wisdom these brilliant couples share! I think they made an excellent point about therapy as well. “Sometimes you need Jesus and your meds.” Very important point!
This was a Phenomenally transparent conversation. This was a painfully bittersweet conversation; but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel if you both remember that you're on the same team! Thanks for this!!
I couldn’t agree with everything you said more!! My husband and I just had a similar conversation yesterday tbh and it got so emotional for him, he had to get off the phone and I asked later in the day, want to continue the earlier conversation and he said not really and that broke my heart 💔
Thank you host and couples for sharing! Great takeaways and lessons here. Therapy is very necessary, humility, honesty, and responsibility. I got the most important thing is that it takes both husband and wife to be willing and actually do the work together and individually, it cannot work if its just one sided. This blessed me to actually see it being done. It gives hope and teaches how to overcome, be successful in marriage, and lead by example. I am divorced...it takes both to do the work and right now im doing my individual work. When a person truly wants to be better they will do the work and all they can to be better and if both are doing that then it has to work. Thank you again for this. Many blessings to you.
Glad to hear that you had a village to help you and that you were able to start over. Sometimes history and holding onto to the past makes it so hard for couples to start over.
First time in a long time watcher. I absolutely loved the Transparency of the couple's during this session. A lot of food for thought and application. Thank you
The lady with the short hair and heart choker looks stuunning. I like her whole look and outfit. Kita looks great as well. I like how her hair is done. Both couples are gorgeous.
I have learned so much today about coupleship. Yesss, I made that up but its justified. I so wanted this in my relationship but other party/ spouse was not mature enough to want the same. Love is a beautiful thing but it's funny also.
If there is something I see in this interview is true love. Loving the other person to see the good in them and fight for them and with them regardless of failures. That is what love is about. We know each other's weaknesses and I love you and us and what we want and have built and we need to bring all the resources in! WE!.... WE!.... Need to WIN!!
Everyone sitting at the table has a neck and a head and the need to be heard and listening is what we practice in order to hear what the other is saying. Remember we didn't grow up in the same house so there will be differences. Black Love speaks to me and it's what I know best. We all did stuff for people or chores including favors and holding secrets while growing up so these things need to be addressed and stopped because I want my adult children and my grandchildren to live better and be safe and healthy.
I agree. If you must and we all will at some point, it's comforting in my opinion to have someone to go through it with you. You have the support if each other to lean on when the other may be weak.
Thanks so much. This has been so helpful especially for me who is going through a financial low right now. Thank you so much for your vulnerability. God bless you all
I am so glad Joe explained what was going on with him during filming because I did not enjoy them on the episode. I kept thinking they seemed so disconnected, they must be headed for divorce....Kita just seemed to be doing all the talking and driving the conversation 👀😕
This was absolutely great and therapeutic. As a single woman I'm soaking these lessons all up. I really appreciate each and every couple and their vulnerability, especially from the men. Please keep making great content Black Love! 💖

Beautiful set ! Keep our community WOKE one couple at a time

Codie looks like a sweet Disney princess…Snow Black. Love the look and the episode. Such amazing content.
"Snow Black"🙂👍

Thinking of going for counselling to deal with my issues before I get married
I love both of these couples! Their love, respect, faith and tenacity has gotten them through the difficult times. #strongertogether ❤

If I may say so, your picture almost took me out . You are soooo beautiful lmao 😍.
I was like did anyone else spot this part lmaoooo
😂😂😂
This is a gift. Their transparency is healing.💛

I love how the show is continued to normalize therapy. As a future therapist, I truly appreciate it.
🗣 “Sometimes you need Jesus and your meds” 💯

THIS was the absolute best (for me) of the Black Love experiences to date. I so appreciate the open, honest & transparent shares from the husbands.
This is one of the best shows!
The subject of Black Love is necessary! The couples highlight are great! Lessons learned are valuable.
I enjoy this show because it’s positive and real.
I like the variety of couples as well. It’s refreshing to hear men be vulnerable and open.
I really appreciate both couples honesty. I now see Kita in a most positive light than what I saw in the last video. I was totally wrong about her & husband. #BlackLove

Therapy in the black community is not discussed enough. You are not crazy!!
So glad to hear that therapy is an important part of helping your relationships to be successful.
This was wonderful, thank you all for being so open it is truly beneficial to so many of us ❤️
I Love Codie & Tommy Oliver they are a beautiful couple!
I appreciate how this talk shed light on the personal and emotional aspects of finances, or how other struggles can either cause or be exacerbated by it. It’s a beautiful thing to hold strong together. That’s real and true.
I love the dialogue. 😊 These conversations are very much needed in our community.
Yes it’s hard to ask as a black woman to ask because we are taught to just be strong and do it all not just financially.
As a recent newlywed, getting married ‘young’ was a fear for me! Luckily we did therapy the entire first year of our engagement and without, we probably wouldn’t have tied the knot back in December. I am watching this 1st thing in the a.m. & I must say I have been SCHOOLED!!!! 💯👍🏽
This! All of it was so necessary! The therapy part! Thank you Black Love!!
Once again great topic! We need to normalize therapy in our community! I'm glad these couples have made it through the tough years. God bless! 💐🌹
Thanks for speaking so candidly about your finances publicly, guys. Very helpful!

Same here...... I love this..... Just schedule an appointment for therapy both individual and as a couple
This is a great show, in displaying what one really wants in a relationship and how to side step a bad situation with ease and grace.
This is amazing!!! Eventhough my wife works in psych she doesn't believe in therapy. It's really tough.
How does that work. Why does she not believe in therapy. What does she believe work.
Idk she's more into what she sees on the reality TV shows involving couples. She likes the tasks that the counselor gives them. I guess going to a therapist and talking out issues isn't good enough

Glad to hear that you had a village to help you and that you were able to start over. Sometimes history and holding onto to the past makes it so hard for couples to start over.
I love Kita's testimony ... Starting over and not building on the old foundation!!!!
Black Love can we have more of this? I love this conversation
Therapy? No therapy needed when we have these great conversations and examples to relate abs learn from. I absolutely needed and appreciated this.
This one was one of the best one yet.It was really informative I feel
First time in a long time watcher. I absolutely loved the Transparency of the couple's during this session. A lot of food for thought and application. Thank you

Real conversation. Much appreciated
Why are all these couples beautiful!!!😍😍
Loved that he said we all have our traumas and now two are becoming one, something you have to work through!!! Yes to therapy.....

I’m so grateful for the after-show because I was able to put my judgement aside and love on Kita and Joe.
Real talk! Thankful for God, meds & therapist.

Kita is such a beautiful woman. I want her to have all the happiness possible.
