Looks great but what about all the bear metal where you adhered the bedside to? Wont that rust much quicker?
That looks amazing may have to go with these been debating in going 4th gen bed or just re doing sides atleast with these won't have to worry about rust anymore
Do you know what the weight reduction would be going from original bed to the fiberglass kit?
awesome i have an o6 dodge ram needs a little rocker panel repair and i definitely want to do this to my mega cab box. any suggestions on rocker panels
Hey boss, looks great, awesome craftsmanship with this. I'm going rust free on my 05 too and want this kit. Did you do the whole kit or are those the factory inner wheel wells?
I used the factory inners on this application. But I recommend using the fiberglass inners for a easier & smoother finish. Also helps weed out any chance of rust coming back down the road.

when installing on origional wheel wells have you ever had to trim the lip of the metal or am I just not pulling the sides in far enough?

How thick are the bed sides? I use my truck as a truck and are they somewhat heavy duty? Or will they break if i bump into them
Right around a 1/4 inch thick.
These bedsides are made to withstand dents and dings. So they are very durable!!
Just from the experience of installing them I wouldn’t be scared to throw them on a work truck man!

I've got an absolutely weird package Dodge Ram 1500 Mega cab Laramie. Its a 1500 but it's sitting on what I believe to be a 2500/3500 one ton frame. It's a 2007 and it has the 8 lug one ton Wheels.
Does anyone have an idea what's going on here. I'm 100% sure it's stock from the factory.
I got the same setup too. 2006. The mega cab was built on a 2500 chassis
