you could make a blast chamber after the last layer in the copper farm, if you make another layer similar to the others you have made, you could hook up the tnt to activate when the blocks goes to that layer.
Then when you have to harvest, you just need the exact amount of copper available to fill the whole farm, then hold right click down until you are out of blocks
I dont really know how eady this would be, or if what i'm saying is making sense, but i think that your copper aging could become pretty easy to harvest and refill

An idea for harvesting the copper: at the end of this "conveyor" you could set up a tnt duper to break the blocks, and you could simply start placing new blocks on the conveyor so all the aged blocks are pushed to the end to be exploded.
You can set up an item filter to detect if any non-aged blocks are harvested(after all the aged blocks are) and stop the conveyor.

You could add another pushing mechanism at the end, and put a blast chamber at the end of the push limit. Wire it up so while you refill the contraption on the front, everything gets pushed out in the back row by row. The only thing to keep in mind is to count the new blocks added so you don't push unoxidized copper into the blast chamber.
Might involve some further redstone, but it should be possible. Also could add a shulker loader so you just throw a shulker so you just go and grab the finished shulkerbox from the end once you are done refilling in the front.

I definitely think a blast chamber or 2 would worm perfectly with your copper ager. New blocks can push the old blocks into the blast chamber. Youl) You'll just either have to pay attention to not push in new block into the chamber or maybe have some sort of counting system that locks pushing thinga into the blast chamber after x amount of pistons fired. The counter can then just get reset when you're ready to blow.
Alternatively, go absolutely mad and show doc who is the goat, by making an 8 our version of you copper conveyor, where you can just continuously feed new blocks into the system and by the time they get to the blast chamber they're all ready

  • @MrWMyself

18:40 At the end, make a 11x11 piston-floor and push the blocks into a cube.
In that way, you can load up the system (to before the cube), wait for it to oxidize, then just keep adding more blocks to the system again, until the cube is filled up, then you can easily just tear down the entire cube & continue filling up the remaining spaces (assuming the "strip" is larger than the cube?) (blast-chamber is also a good idea, ask Dock or Tango on how to do it)

Probably one of the best copper farms out there. If you want to build it in a public server make sure it's in compliance with the rules. Lot of servers also restrict the amount of entities that can spawn per one chunk. So the farm would not be as efficient as with a vanilla server. Xisuma getting back with farming and building is always a good news.

For the blast chamber, just add one more pusher, and a blast chamber beyond.
You have to place an exact amound of blocks each time, but the act of placing the new batch would push the oxidised ones one step further to be collected.
You could even add a 3 or 4 timer on blocks coming into the blast chamber, to fully automate that side.

One easy solution for the copper mining problem would be to just to feed the end of the copper strip into a new piston pushing system that ends in a blast chamber.
You then push the aged blocks out with the new unaged blocks. You would just need to make sure that there is some system that stops you from pushing unaged blocks into the blast chamber. Maybe only put the precise number of copper blocks you can age at a time into the chest?

I believe CubicMeter has a large copper oxidixer machine with a built in blast chamber if you are up for building something complicated.

You should extend the converyor belt up another segment or two and have it feed into an afk mining chamber, and call it the Cuiper Belt.

Can you push the rows down at the end, in to a blast chamber tied to the block pushing. That way all you need to do is add fresh copper. Fresh copper gets pushed, pushes oxidized into the chamber, blows it up.

The wall of baby zombies is hands down one of the most insane things I have seen in vanilla survival Minecraft. Nice job x

A cool trick I saw Pixlriffs use on an auto-piston setup was using wallstone for detection: An observer will detect a state change when a block (like copper) is placed next to a wall. It costs an observer instead of a torch but can be cleaner for routing the signal.

as for a blast chamber, you could do another piston line that would make the floor into the blast chamber and continue to place to be oxidized copper into the machine. only issue is having more copper or blocks to replace the oxidized copper

10:20 the comparator chain can be made quicker by replacing all the redstone dust with a full block, then replacing every other comparator with redstone dust (so it loops like bcbrbcbrb, where b is a block, c is a comparator, and d is dust)
(ofc for that farm the speed doesnt really matter)

Honestly simplest way for harvesting is instead of breaking all the oxidized copper, let the chain continue into a platform of pistons that can condense them into a big block for collection. That way all you do is place new copper into the farm and harvest at the end of it. Blast chamber would take more time but that can also be added on.

for collecting the copper blocks you could just continue the piston pushing chain but instead of into an aging sheet push it into a blast chamber so you can refill the aging sheets and collect the aged blocks in one go

X, to save yourself from mining all the copper, just put something at the end of the machine that pushes them straight down, and run fresh copper into the machine, which will push out the oxidized copper down into a blast chamber or something else like that.

I would suggest definately making a blast chamber.
That way you mine it as you lay the next lot out.
Have it send it vertical, and then push the blocks just as the tnt explodes shouold work well.

I have an idea for how you could mine the copper blocks. You can use a lot of small flying machines to sweep the blocks to the side and then one big machine to compress it all to a rectangle (since they are in different heights). Then it will be easier to mine by hand or to use a blast chamber

X as always is THE afk farmer on the server.
Maybe "catch" the little zombies with the wall so they fall into the void properly? Their distribution is kind of hilarious though...
The crafter light interface is a very neat contraption.
You could sell half of your copper stock without aging to save yourself some time, too!
