I think it took a couple years for this song to really click with me and now it’s one of my favorites on the album. It just feels really really nice. The chicken lyrics are unusual but I’m sure there’s a metaphor in there.

A car had passed me this afternoon with a couple of surfboards on its roof, and on one of them, in blue letters, I read the word 'Vega' 😀
And I believe that's Suzanne playing the acoustic guitar in the L channel and her guitarist playing an electric one in the R one 🙂

This song have an interesting structure, very progressive in a sense.

I always put on these two songs when I'm making homemade Chicken Soup up here in New England this time of the year. Fancy Fancy!!! LOL

I like it. It's sorta proggy how the arrangement goes through a number of different little sections, but it also doesn't really sound like something she'd come up with to be honest. I see it was co-written with someone named Anton Sanko, so maybe he came up with a lot of it (except for the poultry parts.)

I think what’s going on is that the first song is about a marketplace and in the second she dives into one of the stallls/stores selling chicken

Singing about poultry parts is fowl.

Nice song but the poultry parts stuff just always makes me laugh.
