Thanks for the video. I had a Non RGB Verto edition but was running into the same issue. Glad I ran into this video and it helped me to mount it properly
I can't follow this because there's no room on my motherboard at all for this bracket.. I just put in the GPU and used 3 screws to screw it tight into the usual area... Do u think it will be OK without this bracket?
Quick question. The display port side of the GPU, are they universal. As will the holes line up for the screws? I’m going to upgrade from 3070 to 4080s and I’m assuming that the display port will fit the same hole in the case.
@@m1kes6 the display ports will fit, the HDMI will still fit. The mounting bracket will align but you might have a extra screw to fill in. Also the pcie should fit in the pcie slot. Only thing is to make sure it not too wide for your case
@Top3Entertainment Yeah, so I just installed the 4090 into the case, without the bracket. I couldn't find any mounting points, on the motherboard. It looks like, that the front of the video card is retty stable. Therefore, it supports the back really well, without a brace. But yeah, thanks to you, I know how to, potentially install a bracket. Now, I have to troubleshoot a cooling issue. The cpu idles at 89°C. Going to try and remove the AIO, and remount it, properly. The old AIO I had on there didn't line up with the mounting holes. So, I got another AIO, and I left the old mounting plate on there. The spacing or pressure is probably off, or something. Hopefully, I can get a reasonable idling temperature out of it. It's a Intel I-9 1300K processor. So, it generates a tone of heat. I should have bought the best processor for gaming. Oh well. But yeah, hopefully it works, so I can play a game, finally. I was supposed to build in July of last year, but my dad passed away, and it hurled me, into an awful, very painful space. Oh well, yeah ( :
@@Chris-ji8jw sorry to hear about your father. Hopefully your doing a little better. You should be fine without the bracket but it's there for the future. Hoping you figure out the cpu issue
@Top3Entertainment oh thanks. Hopefully you still have a dad! Um, so I changed out the AIO Bracket, and I applied a liberal amount of paste, to the CPU, after cleaning off the thermal paste from both the CPU and the Copper plate of the AIO. The idling temperature went from 89°C to 51°C. Hope that's at least good/normal. Now, I have afan issue, to deal with. The 3 case fans, do not work. Maybe I will try, just plugging them in, directly to the motherboard. I'll have to check to see if there are enough ports. I should have enough.
I think they have updated the support stand, it's shorter and doesnt come in contact with the fans, just mounted a new rtx 4070 ti super today and it works perfectly fine.
@@Top3Entertainment Yes it helped a lot being thorough with the installation process, most people just start doing stuff without explaining anything, I also have to mention the way you angled the camera to show how to screw the support in was top notch lol, congrats on the vid
Hey man thanks for the video, I have the 4080 super from PNY as well and didn’t install the bracket when building pc as my friend who built it forgot. I’m not worried do I need it ? I don’t see any sag when I look at my pc. He’s living far now and I don’t trust myself to do this. Can I just wait and install if it starts sagging ? Or do I do it as soon as he’s free to do it?. Is this a requirement for having these cards ? Thanks in advance
I got the PNY GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB OC LED VERTO. The bracket come with the GPU had a shorter rubber than yours in the video which don't ran into the the fan. I think it's fine to follow the instructions to install the bracket.
Hey, I'm thinking of getting this GPU, but I have a question about the power cable that I don't know if you could help me with. So, I have 2 power cables going into my current GPU right now, but I see that you have 3 of them. Do you have the power distributed that way for a specific reason I should be concerned about? Should I also just order an extra cable? Does this one come with the GPU? I dunno, this is my only concern so far as I've seen videos and photos of people's 4080's power cables melting.
@@yesno9980 that would be the cheaper option than having to buy a new psu. Definitely get that extra cable from Corsair, that's way cheaper than ruining a 4080 lol

Thanks so much for this video. I've got the card on order and I am not looking forward to the install at all. I think I might go with one of those telescopic 'props' if the bracket is too hard to install.

Imho PNY is underrated and being slept on if all their cards are of this quality, honestly dont understand why this was the cheapest option in my country and the only one going for msrp.. these palit/galaxy/gigabyte cards were about €100/€150 more expensive 😅.
