Goodbye Shoofly! CA-HSR, Rail Realignment Project: Downtown Fresno.

Say goodbye to the Shoofly, in downtown Fresno this summer. Union Pacific has brought in a traveling MOW gang, to prepare track sections for the realignment of their Main lines, shifting back to their original route. Venture Ave, and Tulare Ave underpass, are structurally complete and being prepared to have the tracks shifted on top of these new formed underpasses. Pedestrian traffic and automobile traffic will travel under the Union Pacific tracks, and the future High Speed rail tracks. I believe the Mono St crossing will be removed completely, once the new underpasses are open to automobile traffic.
