Some huge mega proejcts going on in CA, did we miss any?
You mispronounced the Spanish J in every place name.
The California High Speed Rail project is a major one you missed. Also it's pronounced BART not B A R T
The narrator pronounced every proper noun of local significance, completely wrong. And it's not even because of his accent, that he butchered it… You think you would have consulted somebody from California before releasing? I am born and raised in California and there were several locations I had to try really hard to determine what you could have possibly been talking about... to name a few: Fremont, Pleasanton, Van Nuys, BART, San Jose just to name a few... You sound IGNORANT! its extremely difficult to listen to. oh god especially the BART makes me cringe. It's just bart!!!!! and san (ho-zay)... van (nyz) and theres a bunch I missed here but you really should fix it. happy to lend a hand.
How could you forget the California High Speed railway project?
Me too. It was pretty bad on this one lol
Butchered nearly all the names. Wtf? Almost unwatchable
do you know the way
to San JOEsy 🎶 🎵 🎶
😂 😂 😂
Yes, I'm coming from Please-aton on the Be Ay Ar Tee. 😂😂
This was released 3 hours ago but you say the concourse is coming in 2021? Lmao
California is the 5th largest economy in the WORLD for the seventh consecutive year, with a nominal GDP of nearly $3.9 trillion in 2023.
Soon it will be 4th
I dream we can be our own nation one day. The US and it’s dysfunctional politics is a such a drag on our progress.
Why are we subjected to the whims of these two bit low rent hillbilly politicians from other states. Let’s drop them.
You didn't discuss the CAHSR project.
I think you are mispronouncing these names on purpose
So that guys like me will leave a comment
Me too, Klamath is pronounced Clam meth. BART is pronounced Bart, as in Bart Simpson. I give up!
0:23 A cityscape shot of Melbourne, Australia!? So odd ;)
Well spotted ol"chap!
These guys just throw clips and words together!
They have zero quality control
And New York City, and probably others....
Enjoyed getting some interesting updates. However, the narrator should learn the proper pronunciation of local names.
San Jose is pronounced as San “Ho Say”
I always love ocean animals in the Pacific Oceans in California in the futures.😮
As a Bay Area resident, it's nice to see both the BART Silicon Valley extension and the Santa Clara development mentioned in this video, as both are exciting projects. For BART, their biggest need is to extend to San Jose Diridon to connect with the other transit networks such as Caltrain, ACE and another connection with Amtrak and VTA. And for Santa Clara, I've been seeing multiple 20 story residential buildings when passing both the Great America and SCU stations by train, which is encouraging because more homes are needed to alleviate congestion and bring down the housing market value to make everything more affordable
And that's not even mentioning California High-Speed Rail, which would be an absolute game changer for the entire state
Electrified Caltrain too
What I dislike is how all the Silicon Valley tech workers one up to the City to live. They should stay sone there and create the environment they want in San Jose since Sam jose is a blank canvas with nicer weather.
Instead they invade and destroy SF. And they don’t care whatsoever about the city’s culture or history.
@@SFDom415-pe8qo I wouldn't say Silicon Valley tech workers “don't care whatsoever about the city’s culture or history”, but their industry making the Bay Area one of the world's most expensive regions definitely has that negative effect on it
@@abakella the y don’t care. They don’t even like Victorians. They want everything torn down and remodeled to be new . They have no understanding of why we despise every high rise ever built.
They don’t even know is what the gold rush is. They have no interest in history at all. They aren’t from here. They are here for the job and Becuase someone told them it’s trendy to live here. They have no loyalty to the place and will go elshwere if offered more money .
I always want California High-Speed Rail in California and I always love California High-Speed Rail in California.😮
This is the United States. Use miles, not kilometers etc.
I always love more ocean animals in the Pacific Oceans in California in the futures.😮
I love ocean animals in the Pacific Oceans in California in the futures.😮
San JO-sey? 😂🤣 It's HO-sey. The name is in Spanish, where a J is pronounced like an H.
Jose is Spanish. J in Spanish is pronounced as an H in English.
Yes and yeah of course California High-Speed Rail in California.😮
I love more ocean animals in the Pacific Oceans in California in the futures.😮
I always want BART Silicon Valley to Santa Clara, CA and I always love BART Silicon Valley to Santa Clara, CA.😮
Yes and yeah of course BART Silicon Valley to Santa, CA.😮
There seems to be some outdated information such as completion dates that have already passed. Also, some pretty significant mispronunciations, particularly with the names of locations that are Spanish names.
The California High Speed Rail is now + $110 billion in cost.
Yes.😮
This video is 85% made by AI 😂
California High-Speed Rail in California.😮
When I see it, I'll believe it. If I am still alive.
sucesso ao canal
That's BART (like Simpson) and, where is this Van "News" Blvd anyway? (N👁️z)
One project says done by 2024, but words onscreen say 2025. Which is it for LAX?
Being an Angeleno, let me interpret, it's most likely code for 2030 (or later....)
I think they still plan/hope to be "done" before the 2028 Olympics
@@joetrey215 You go you optimist!
The text-to-speech reallllllly doesn't handle American toponyms well. Almost all are mispronounced. Some laughingly so.
If big profit mix with it. It will never be realized.
@06:39 & @14:28 & @19:30 "Trans-form-A-tive" instead of "trans-FORM-ah-tive". @11:09 "Over-ar-King" instead of "over-ar-CHing". With all of the other mispronunciations and periodic odd pauses, I'm thinking this is an AI narrator and there was not much oversight of the output. The devil is in the details. Finessing & polishing is requiring when presenting information to the public.
@20:48 For a channel focused on infrastructure, to stumble on "gauge" when talking about railroad tracks is especially odd. It's pronounced "GAJ", not "GOWJ" (and measures the distance between two rails).
This voice over is made by AI
Great job but locals call it Bart like in Bart Simpson and not B A R T ... Almost get the names right but not quite
Given the numerous "audio irritants" included in this video please give some thought to relaunching the channel as "The Impossible Pronounciations"
Pronunciation of “San Jose” is (example) “San Hosay!” Every time he said “josay” made me cringe… 🙈
28:13, is this new housing for the Homeless?, just joking (No harm to them meant)
What drought
Being from California I was appalled at the mispronunciation of everything. I know folks from other countries don’t know them all but if you took time to research the projects the pronunciations could have been verified as well. Blocking this channel.
I know.. the mispronunciations are cringe. San Jose, Pleasanton, Van Nuys! Just do some basic research if you're not sure how to pronounce words.
Woooooooooooooooww your blocking him?? I'm from California too dude 😂 You sound like an AWFUL person to be married to
Would also help if all the images were of the actual projects. I saw images from Australia, New York and London, before I gave up
I’d be happy to “proof” your audio for awkward pronouncements. Much like a “burr under the saddle”, it distracts the mind from your carefully produced stories. Your listener audience will grow larger too, which HELP$ reward your extensive efforts in this amazing topic.
“Good Show old Bean” ,,, DRiX
🤡 classic lib sjw
Gonna take some time for California to undo it's mistakes, but it's a start 👍
Makes me wonder what huge, Futuristic projects can happen in the desert states like Utah, Nevada, Arizona etc.
AI voice? So many cities/stops are mispronounced, that some of them I couldn’t figure out. Almost useless video.
Typical Bay Area development project. Santa Clara's development plan only provides 10% of the housing stock needed for the massive office developments.
Where will people live? The Central Valley?
i don't know who the voice is, but his pronunciation of some of the cities are comical.
San Jose is this English guy having a laugh. Just shows how the English think they own the language. They go to Spain and moan that nobody speaks English.
You should hear how some American sites pronounce locations in Massachusetts. Worcester, Gloucester, Leicester, etc etc. 😂😂😂😂😂. The British pronounce them correctly.
I like what you have to say good information thank you.. At the same time, though you have to learn how to pronounce cities and transit agencies.. I mean b a r t ! Think Bart Simpson That's how you pronounce Bart. And San Jose Say San Ho-za. San Jose the J Is silent. Use H when saying Jose
How hard is it to say San Jose? Dionne Warwick even sang how to go there. Are we hearing a real voice or a computer generated one? Can't say I'm going to follow this channel when so little effort is put into getting the simplest names right. Like Fremont. 🤦♂
PLEASE A TON excuse me. It is Pleas anton. I had to give this video a thumbs down bad pronunciation.
Questionable content.
I can't believe that TIB woud be sooo lazy as to not do basic research to now how to pronounce common California names. No one in the bay area pronounces bart as individual leters, ever. Very disappointing!
When you create videos about California, you should at least learn the proper pronunciation of words used in California.
How very true. At least he did call San Francisco Frisco.
>"San JOEsy."
You must be kidding me. Talk about shit-teir content farming. Hire a local. Jfc.
Lame video. It failed to mention all the crime on the LA Metro system!
Sounds like bullshitah to me.
Horrible video. I remember why I didn’t follow the channel.
these will all fail and have to be cancelled due to a lack of funding.
Actually they’re all either completed or close to it 👍🏻👍🏻California economy is undergoing rapid growth and expansion many of these are much needed and crucial to the California economy
Y'all SWEAR the USA is failing HEAVILY 😂 No, things are just a mess at the moment. There's soo many projects happening in my town
And due to complete and total Political Mismanagement (as we have seen for decades) by corrupt Democrats who are literally taking bribes to destroy us.
