2:46 The Epic Crane Shot that has never been replicated by a Jib Arm. LOL The Camera person had to perform a rack focus which is difficult to achieve. This person made it look effortless. This is how LIVE Broadcast Television used to be. It was BIG. LOL.
He was the epitome of a fantastic entertainer. A world-class singer, dancer, actor, multi-instrumentalist, impressionist, he could do it all. He opened doors for people like Michael Jackson, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, and countless more. Just watch a few of the You Tube videos of Sammy, and one sees his mind boggling talent.
Black magic babyyyyy😎😎😎
SAMMY
that was back when you couldn't get anywhere unless you were a triple threat, sing, dance & act
I miss those years when we had real entertainers like Sammy Davis Jr.
Ahhh, so many others too during that era.
This guys voice never aged even before a few months of his death I love that show.
Greatest entertainer that ever lived
Just magnificent.......... He was the master and this song is my favourite.
I never heard this song before. I grew up listening to Sammy. Now I get to study him as a singer and entertainer extraordinaire…Always top shelf entertainment!!!
The best of all time, he could act , sing and dance!!!
Thought he played drums too... Probably hit lead off for the Yanks, as a hobby.
@@brucehorlick9746 Correct he did play drums
Incredible comedian as well!
Amazing talent. No one will ever compare!!
This wonderful man could do anything ,the consummate entertainer. ThanK you Sammy you were the best OF the best NEVER EVER FORGOTTEN.
2:30 I love this shot! This was before the advent of Jib Arms. This looks like a steady-cam. Either way, I love it!
Classic Sammy!!!!
Man, what a masterful performance! For 3 minutes, I completely forgot that this was part of a Jerry Lewis telethon.
You better sing that song, Sammy! :)
tHANKS FOR THE POST FIRSTLY! - SAMMY DAVIS JUNIOUR AMAZING!
Great Performance from The Great Mr Davis!
One of his signature numbers
Classic tune by a classic, classy guy -- loved him
Smiling. Great version
Judy Garland's daughter Lorna Luft was the reason I first liked this song. She sung this in one of her concerts as a tribute to her Uncle Sammy. Sammy is amazing as all the Rat Pack are but Sammy has soul in that voice. One of the many greats
I heard him sing in Las Vegas. He was one talented man.
We saw him in London; he was great.
Always a great performance. He was entertainment!!!
The best!!! 😁
One of the great showman and singer we were blessed to hear eddie sherman
Wow! I think Sammy Davis jr. was awesome and seeing him on Jerry Lewis's Telethon was more awesome, I love them both,

Huh…..wireless mics in 1984….have to be the very first, the power of Jerry Lewis.
I remember seeing clips of Elvis with one in 1970. Must’ve had really poor connectivity issues though
I loved still love dear Sammy Davis ! He was a very gifted funny man with so much talent ! I really miss him Judy and Frank Dean too ! I know that Liza misses him every day like I do !

Grest
Is that the medallion used to find the Ark of the Covenant? :)
Well, he was Jewish, so he was entitled to search. :-)
BuckshotLaFunke1 he was a satanist actually
@@magst734 Why, what do you mean?
@@magst734 No, he was NOT!
0:16 Jerry fell off the stage. Boom Jam!
Honestly his later in life stuff did not really intrigue me unlike his older stuff. Just a different feel to it I dont like
Trombonerist And I prefer his later work.
@@gregglienna1442 Nice!
Trombonerist, regardless of the era, sammy davis jr.was the greatest entertainer that ever lived.sammy had more talent than any 10 performers combined.
@@robertr8386 true but I still very much love Sinatra. Personally I can’t rank them all because they are all good for different reasons.
@@trombonerist2856 ,its significant to remember that sammy doing live concerts, did way more than sing.impressions, dancing and playing instruments were part of his act.there must have been a valid reason why sammy was recognized as the greatest entertainer that ever lived.actually he exceeded greatness.
