    Bro, I feel for you! Nothing in the world worse than back problems!
    Amazing to listen to Wheeler, and his thought processes. He’s always two steps ahead of the field right now. Met him at the second classic that was on Grand before he blew up. He sat and talked to my 8 year old step-daughter for thirty minutes. Took her around to other booths and introduced her to other anglers, and loaded her up with goodies. Such a cool moment that I will never forget.

    Great show Dave! I can't believe that the "powers that be" at Minor League Fishing let JWheels come on your show. Jacob is a good angler, no doubt one of the best. To be one of the greatest, he'll need to return to the Real Major League of Bass Fishing, B.A.S.S. and hopefully get a Classic win and/or a B.A.S.S. A.O.Y. Until then, he's one of the best to have never won a B.A.S.S. Classic or A O.Y. Keep them coming Dave, hope your back is better brother.

      @michaelfrisko9614 2 роки тому

      @@factsoffishing With the way the Bass fishing world has changed, I would like to see BASS evolve as well and make the Classic a true SuperBowl of bass fishing and include all the different trails top 15 anglers, rather than anglers fishing the Opens. The Opens are a path to the one of the top tiers in professional bass fishing. There is room for all of these pro tours. I believe we've seen that this year. They have all done really well and been very entertaining. The sport needs a true world championship and i believe that should be the Classic. I believe all the organizations should be able to come together and make this happen. Come one Dave...make this happen!!

    • @factsoffishing
      @factsoffishing  2 роки тому +1

      @@michaelfrisko9614 thanks for watching & thanks for your comments. Your idea has been done already. The TTBC used to be the top 15 from Bass, FLW & the PAA at the time. They did that for over a decade. It sounds like a great idea but it’s highly unlikely now. In today’s current pro fishing world, to ask bass to host anglers from other circuits at the Bassmaster Classic is like cheating on you wife, leaving her to marrying someone else but still expecting to get invited to Christmas. I don’t see it happening but you never know. Thanks again for watching

    • @michaelfrisko9614
      @michaelfrisko9614 2 роки тому

      @@factsoffishing I don't know that I agree with that. The TTBC was never looked at as World Championship, it was more of a all-star event. Out of all the pro tours, BASS SHOULD be the organization to host such and event...it's been around the longest and is the face of the sport and it's history. But times have changed. MLF does have the biggest names, both young and old. Notice I didn't say the best anglers. And that group that left BASS to form MLF didn't do it because they disliked BASS or what it represents, they did it because they had to take care of themselves, not the organization they competed in. It's hard to say which tour has the best because they all have great anglers. But having the variety the sport has today and the live coverage it has today, BASS sort of owes the sport and fans to make the Classic the biggest and best championship out there and that should include the top anglers from all the top tours, for that particular season. All the tours would benefit from it (BASS, BPT, Pro Circuit, NPFL). With all the tours cutting the bottom group of anglers to keep things fair and fresh, all the tours are going to start looking the same. Which in my opinion is ok as long as they can sustain their season and individuality. This would be a smart move on BASS's part...they would show that they don't hold a grudge, that they are more concerned for what's best for the sport and its' fans rather than which organization is best, and it would show that they can grow with and\for the sport. Not to mention that it would be a fantastic event! Probably the biggest Classic EVER (from a money making standpoint)! Look at The Masters. Thats the type of event The Classic could and should be! If BASS doesn't do it, someone else probably will try and who knows...maybe the Classic becomes the next Forrest Wood Cup (RIP).
      Sorry for ranting about this. I feel strongly about it and our sport. I think the sport still has some evolving to do in order for it to be where it wants to be. But, in my opinion, since the split, it is moving in the right direction. If you are a fan of competitive bass fishing, has it EVER been as good as it is right now??
