WOMEN WITH SUCH LONG BEAUTIFUL HAIR ARE NOW GETTING THE SCISSORS TO THEIR EXTREMELY LONG BEAUTIFUL HAIR AND THEN SHAVED OFF BALD AND IT TOTALLY MAKES THEM LOOK SO GOOD WITH THEIR EXTREMELY LONG HAIR CUT AND SHAVED OFF SMOOTH
Female recruitment would be at a standstill. I think they should be able to keep their long hair, but do not lie about there being no double standards. Everything in society seems to be a lie anymore.
@@philipsomers6944 I was in the military. Women put their hair up or got it cut ABOVE the collar. (hair cannot touch the collar) Women weren't allowed to get it shaved off. And there's no reason to do so. What you wish is irrelevant unless you served.
@@rac7773 You're right, there is a double standard. Women in the military get sexually assaulted and no one gets charged. Women recruits aren't warned they have a 20% chance of getting raped by a male soldier or officer.
@hawkhillfalconer3529 yeah I suppose how short do they get cut shoulder length or just cut off ponytail I'm just saying if they did got it done I understand it
Many years ago, while I was getting my hair cut, I was watching in the mirror, a cute blonde girl with beautiful very long blonde hair getting her hair cut to shoulder length. She was crying while the stylist was cutting. I still remember that after more than 50 years.
First, the rumors said: the enemies will grab your hair to kill you and slit their throat. Or it could some heath issues. Second, those are enthusiastic Russians women or other countries women. And Third, Nearly 2,000 women between the age of 18 to 35.
@@Pappas13 Thank you Jorje. I have a real problem with women combatants, mostly b/c they are the bearers if life, but also b/c the men are severely demoralized when women are killed or maimed. To voluntarily shave their heads, they must have been quite passionate about their cause. Edit: Tragic story in every way. Maybe I will watch the whole movie one day. TY again.
@@rac7773 "the men are severely demoralized when women are killed or maimed" - which was exactly the point of that. In actual fact men often could not shoot the women and were therefore killed themselves.
I am 71 now. At the age of 17, I quit school and volunteered for duty in the U.S. Army. I remember being put together with over a 1,000 men in long lines. There were lines going into different buildings. We were all very individual looking. All sorts of men from all over the USA. I began to notice that different groups of men were changing. The 1st thing that was done was our hair. They ran us into big rooms with dozens of barbers who proceeded to cut our hair off faster than you could believe! Looking back, I think of sheep being sheared. We looked at each other and smiled. Then they took our clothes and issued us ODgreen fatigues. Our identities were being stripped from us. The drill sargents kept us off balance & unsure of what was to happen next. Pretty soon, we were a mob of men, all types & kinds. The smells were strong. Then, the inoculations began. They gave us multiple injections with air guns & syringes in both shoulders at once. Men began to fall out, some dropping right in their tracks. But, those of us left, learned. As the weeks went by, we all changed. We became soldiers. We were part of an Army. It did not matter who or what we had been before. We were the newest recruits into the warrior class of America. We were no longer individual civilians. We had all been molded into a unit. We had discipline & pride. The weak had vanished, only the strong remained. Our skins were still the same color. But our uniforms were all green. Our blood was all red. We looked at each other with respect & honor now. We had been torn down and built back up as future warriors, ready to be used. This has been going on for as long as there has been war. It is an age-old ritual. This movie captures this. The respect given to the female "officers" by the recruits is respect that they earned by their behavior under very hard, shared conditions. That is a very powerful bond. Soldiers in a unit. Those giving the orders, those following those orders. Life & death. Respect is earned, and honor must be won. This movie has it all.
Fact: Leo Wahl took over his uncle's manufacturing business after Frank left to serve in the Spanish-American War in 1898. Leo continued to work on his inventions and by 1921, he patented his final design of an invention more than a decade in the making- the first electric hair clipper.
Well the first working electric razor was invented in 1915 by German engineer Johann Bruecker, though like in the movie the electric generator had to be hand cranked, and idk how the Russians got it from the Germans lol
Very powerful. Incredible acting.

What the F is wrong with you?
Could have just given them a standard men's short haircut. No need for shaving them bald.

These girls are so strong about them shaving their hair off but don’t worry hair grows back
Good to see so many women having their long locks shorn off nice and short.
I like it when they get their hair shaved off every woman should get a buzzcut in the army

Shave my head for a war as useless as WWI, which Russia withdrew from anyway? Nah! 😅
What was the point of the haircuts? Who were these women? How many in the battalion?
