Running isn't just a physical activity; it's a journey that leads to self-discovery and growth. Every step you take, every mile you conquer, is a testament to your strength and determination. Remember, every run, no matter how small, is a step closer to the best version of yourself. What a motivation Matt!!!
Matt, I've teared up multiple times watching this. You and the entire team/community did an incredible job, and it's super special that you got to share this with the world, thereby inspiring many others, including myself. You rock!
Great Job....love this. As I have evolved as a runner shifted my focus and transitioned into Ultra Running 10 years...I look at running as a journey, a time and place to escape and be in the moment with myself and others who chose to suffer, discover and grow in similar ways. I will never remember the "finish time" I will remember the time spent with friends and people I meet along the way.
So cool Matt! You’re so authentic and humble. It’s amazing what you achieved and how you gave everyone helping you along the way the proper time in front of the camera. Respect! 🙌
Great video Matt, I also came to the United States when young with my parents, now at 48 with 7 marathons (I saw you in NYC last November) I'm an American by choice I love the US with all my heart but I also love my birth country equally. Neither are perfect but I wouldn't have it any other way. We'll never fully fit the American or Foreing mold but that's what makes us who we are... your mental strenght comes from the struggles from the past and I'm glad you are able to share it with all us. Hope your foot is better.
Yo, Matt! This is a masterpiece! When I heard your plan while we were in Berlin, I sensed that a little of uncertainty from you (I guess you haven’t been in Korea for a long long time) but it turned out as one amazing documentary film!! This film is MORE THAN RUNNING and that’s exactly what we running for. Congrats!
Hell yeah Matt, you are the MAN. This documentary/accomplishment/run/ was EPIC. You did so much more than just run, loved this so much. I hope you have a speedy recovery brother. Let’s fucking go!!!
Matt your energy is contagious. Love it! You’ve inspired me to one day run across Cambodia after watching this. I felt the same way the first time going to my parents homeland. Hopefully our paths run into each other one day at a marathon.
Damn. This was awesome. As someone who loved to run but had to stop due to health reasons and as a Korean.. this was so great to see. Thanks for sharing. Got to live vicariously through you.
Matt is a Korean version of David Goggins. What an inspiring journey. I love running more after watching this. It’s amazing to see how running can unite people, improve resiliency, and make team look at the same goal. Please keep creating this kind of contents.
Woww beautiful documentary! Netflix worthy! Amazing job Matt!! I am brand new to running and brand new to your channel. Thanks for being such an inspiration! 🎉
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. You were one of my first social media running influencers I started following over a year ago. Your strength and determination has helped guide me to never give up. As a recreational runner now at 46 and training for my first half thank you for everything you have ever shared to help keep people inspired. Kamsahamnida❤
I am planning a trip to Korea, and I would love to see a large portion of it. Would you be willing to share the running path you took from Seuol to Butan?
great vid. Looked painful.Deep words at the end - nothing is perfect... find the hope. Awesome that J K met you w/ some Monster drinks and put in 20mi w you. Amazing run community.
Very nice, well done. Korea is an awesome country for cross country activities. I've done that route on a bike a couple of times, and have wondered what it would be like to run it. Then I dismissed the idea as madness. You've proved me wrong! Next you should try running the east coast, from the DMZ to Busan. That's a real monster!
Yasss my homie Anthony Choi and just the Choi bros as a whole!⚡️Your whole team is amazing Matt! 💫 Way to get it done despite the challenges and doubt! 👏🏽 loved seeing JK’s show out- glad he was able to meet you and run with you after his persistent efforts to reach out to you! Overall, an awesome cultural homecoming reflection Matt 🇺🇸 🇰🇷
If you're 27 and went to Korea at 7, that's only 20 years ago. S. Korea was pretty developed back then too. 😂 But I know what you mean. Welcome, bro. You have great stuff, and it was a lot of fun watching. If only I could run like you. I've only been doing 10Ks, hoping to get farther and faster in the future. BTW, It's Mungyeong and Sangju at 23:30! Just tiny typos!
Man this is actually the craziest fear that you have accomplished can’t help but feel proud of you bruv! Shout outs to your team and ol mate JK! GOOOOOD SHIT! ❤❤
You should have taken the Train to Busan. The only hick is that you have to fight waves of zombies if you are up for the challenge. Congratulations for the journey.
