Daaaamn the Philippines does have so many resemblances with Indonesia. I can never tell if a person is a Filipino/Indonesian. Both physically and culturally we are so similar. The languages too. Love from your neighboring sister!
@Kalobeast 55 actually the javanese language, one of the dialects in indonesia can also use the verb-subject-object grammatical structure like the tagalog language does.
Novinta Desweriel yes! Im a Maranao and Thats absolutely right. Filipino Muslims have more common tradition and culture to Malaysian and Indonesian than my Fellow Non-Muslim Filipino brothers.
@Kalobeast 55 well in Javanese language the VSO structure is rarely use today while the tagalog language can use both SVO & VSO grammatical order but the SVO structure is only use when speaking in a formal speech... example: formal(SVO)- "ako ay takot" informal(VSO)-"takot ako"
@Kalobeast 55 in tagalog language and the rest of Filipino languages, VSO is considered as informal speech which is the common grammatical structure used by people in day to day coversation... while SVO is only use in formal speach like ceremony, inauguration, public speaking, literature, songs and legal documents... So in short VSO is used by the ordinary people while the SVO is used by the intellectual soceity..

I visited Zamboanga recently for work and like a lot of people, the first thing that came to my mind is the Zamboanga siege. When I arrived I was deeply moved by the culture most especially the food! (some of which shown in the video) and of course, the people. I left feeling guilty for my negative perception, inspired because of the wonderful people I met, and hopeful because with the rise of independent content creators, more people can hear and learn about their stories and culture that is not shown in mainstream media. So thank you for shedding light on this subject and sharing their stories! Mabuhay ka!

Erwan you are so genuine and authentic in documenting about this event, this is so inspiring and educational vlog, highly recommended. How I wish back in the day we didn’t mess the image of Mindanao (especially moro places), I don’t mean to say that we don’t necessarily have to broadcast that there are war in the certain places (because yes there are) but not to the point of generalizing the whole of Mindanao at the expense of Moro or Muslim. So at least there are more tourists going to the moro mindanao island. I miss those moro cuisine foods, as a Chef I am really drooling seeing those foods. Besides, I love the way Erwan says: “It is always surprising that we don’t see this in Manila”. Please don’t take my comments negatively. I love Philippines and I Love Mindanao. Peace peace #Peace.

Hi Erwan, Thank you for featuring our culture 😍😊 I’m a muslim filipino (Iranon/Maranao) youtuber this video makes me so happy. I wish that mainstream media could gave us this kind of limelight.
On behalf of moro people in mindanao thank you Erwan for this wonderful vlog ❤
I really appreciate this kind of Docu-Vlog, we are not just entertain but we are learning at the same time. This video shows how beautiful and colorful the Mindanao. It is really more fun in the Philippines. Keep up the good work Kuya Erwan. 👍🏻🇵🇭
Thank you so much men!
Please continue educating the whole nation about Mindanao. Where they being blinded by truth until now. More power with UA-cam Channel 🙏
Proud to be Mindanaoan!
_there was some gross mistake at __1:03__. Most likely Arab traders with wooden ships came to this place, same to Indonesian Islands. They were not missionaries. They shared their beliefs as they are under obligation to do so. Locals liked it and embraced it too. There is no compulsion in Islam faith, sincerity is a requisite and they didn't colonize that place_
_A big contrast with Spanish invaders who after conquered (colonized) the land, embarked on Inquisition but these people resisted it, led by First Hero - Lapu Lapu_
This is so cool ♥♥♥ I feel like im watching a documentation. Im so inspired. Please keep uploading. ♥ Thank you so much.
Thank you so much, Erwan for featuring another video about Mindanao. I am a Muslim, native of Maguindanao, and this video of yours is very informative and engaging to watch, I hope our other kababayans who aren't Muslims give a chance to watch this video to have atleast a little insight about our culture. In behalf of us Filipino Muslims, thank you so so much for giving us a chance to be featured in your vlogs. Awesome vlog! It is always good to see people from Manila, celebrities most especially doing their best to show the beauty of the different provinces in the Philippines. Showcasing the food diversity of the ARMM is wonderful and how, with careful preparation, travelling to these areas is quite possible. Looking forward to explore more of Mindanao myself. I enjoyed this vlog very much. 👍😊
We love well produced content, you deservd a million and more subscribers❤❤❤
Thank you Erwan. You appreciate us and on behalf of muslims we appreciate you. Allah bless you and Anne.
Greetings from Indonesia, culture similar to Indonesia, and food also, love ya guys ♥️♥️♥️

Thank you for sharing. Now I want to discover more about Mindanao.
Mindanao offers an overwhelming experience to local and foreign tourists. Your vlog succeeded in capturing its rich cultures and in giving outsiders a peek into the peaceful side of the ARMM. Well done, Erwan. Carry on. May you and your crew will always be safe in all your travels.
Thanks for this Vid. Great content. Finally someone from imperial manila speaks up and visited these places. Keep it up!
Imperial Manila has tainted the image of Mindanal as a whole. It would be better if Mindanao would be on its own, prosper on it's own and have its own revolutionary government.
Thank you erwan for this. Im a proud mindanawon here. I am Xtian Bisdak (christian bisaya). We all atain peace.
thank u erwan heusaff for showcasing mindanao,.It has so much to offer, try to explore Sultan Kudarat.Kudos to you!💗
I was in Mindanao, Feb last year. Sobrang babait ng tao! Boy, i can’t wait to go back. ❤️

Much Love and respect! Thank you for sharing the marvelous historical and cultural insights of the Southern Philippines. This is what keeps your channel unique among others food and travel vlogs. Busog din kami sa knowledge. 😊

Will be waiting for your content about Samar. I live in Tacloban so I guess it will be give me a lot of insights on our neighbor province.
MashaAllah thank you,, the best vlog ever about Mindanao.. The only video i saw without hate against Mindanao.. So positive, thank you for promoting Mindanao and calling it a gem.. You're video is more than a gem ❤️❤️❤️ it brought peace and truth..
In behalf of the people in Mindanao thank you.
I love how his vlogs doubles as a mini documentary. Very informative!! ❤❤❤
Grabe.
Love Mindanao people have a very beauty and diverse culture. Hope can visit someday
Mabuhay ka!
This is the best. Better than those mainstream shows on tv. Na miss ko yung 'Overnight' segment. 🤗
It's a very nice feeling that our place is being featured in videos like this. Also knowing that you enjoy Mindanao and our culture here makes me appreciate you as a youtube influencer. I'm a fan of yours!
Hi i love all your content. Love Philippines from Malay brother!
Are You Sure

@@jeremycraft562 Hiii! I love your country too! I'm a Sama'/Bajau person from Sabah, we sure have the same culture
Wooow I'm speechless ang ganda ng video na to. Congrats Erwan!
I am from Maguindanao Philippines..
A long slow clap for this wonderful vlog on Mindanao! You are one of the best, if not the best vlogger in town Erwan. You deserve to be in a bigger platform like Netflix or Discovery Channel
very informative, it would be really awesome if you could visit the island provinces in ARMM. It would be quite an experience and you’ll be able to appreciate our culture, our place and our people. Sometimes what we see in the media is just an exaggeration of everything negative only. Proud to be a Filipino-Muslim Yakan from Basilan. Come visit!
Erwan, you're the man!!! I'm from the North too and currently living in Mindanao. I get to go home once a month though. Well, been a round Mindanao as well and yeah, it does not seems as it is on the news. I loved going around the island already and it does not feel like you're unsafe. Culture is great here, most specially the people. Rich history shows, all people from around the world needs to see this beautiful Philippine island themselves to understand that Mindanao is not as dangerous as it seems. Peace out!
Kudos to you Erwan! You have stepped in southern Mindanao, its also my dream to come there. Very good content : )
thank you so much erwan for trusting. 😻
appreciating our cultures, tribes, and foods makes you more adorable and most humbled celebrity/vlogger i’ve ever known. 😇 kudos!
This is a TV show waiting to happen 😍💕💖
Celina Dy I stopped watching TV shows for more than 10 years now. I'd rather see this online than forcing me to sit down and watch on selected times.
Bloody hell, Is this Erwan's Vlog?? not anymore.. it's more an educational independent journalism. Love it!!!
I really love how this vid was film. So interesting and informative about Mindanao! Also, please try to visit Dapitan City if you get the chance. :D
This vlog nailed it!. I really admire the graphics, cinematography, the content of showing the different parts and culture of the Philippines. The vlogs always gets better and better. Kudos to kuya erwan and team.
You and Kulas with the Fighter Boys have done much more for Mindanao than most of our politicians.
Thank you for this Erwan! Im originally from Olongapo City, PI. Moved to the states wen i was pretty young. I haven’t been back home since but plan to pretty soon. I appreciate how you spot lighted the many parts of Philippines..the history, culture, the fooood. Hope you can segment the other parts of Philippines. Really an eye opener n to really sum it up..we are Philippines.
Mindanao. ang Lupang Sinilangan... Our Mindanao our Homeland
Hope to watch more videos like this. Great job as always Erwan! 👌🏻👍🏻
You know when an architect works with Erwan because the infos are correct.
This is awesome! I love how you said that yes, 99.9% of people wants to stay safe. Someday, hope I may visit mindanao as well. #isangPilipinS
Also, an informative video in less than 10 minutes wow👏👏👏
Thanks for featuring Mindanao in your vlog, Erwan. This is the best one for me so far. Here in Davao we also have a similar village and we showcase these tribes as well. I'm sure the more vloggers will feature Mindanao, the more tourists will come.
My beloved place Maguindanao and cotabato city.
5 years later, I'm here in Mindanao and all i can say is, awe-inspiring experience ❤
It's beautiful, people are amazing 🙏
Locals tells me it's really safe now, people live in peace and just want normal lives, foreign ministry in my country warned about going here, but seems their intel is rather outdated, obviously a few places you shouldn't be going, but generally just relaxed and nice atmosphere and OMG the food here is good ❤
Greetings from Mindanao 🙏🥳🥰
Fantastic video!!
Tnx for this :) yes its true since martial law was implmnted Mindanao is now safe.
From the bottom of my heart, DAGHANG SALAMAT ERWAN! 😭😭😭💕💕💕🙏
people there should not left behind, we can't be country without them. President has a good plan ahead for them and for the whole country. FEDERALISM SHOULD pass in congress and senate immediately =)
hey erwan one reply from you will make my day ahahahha
Are you sure that politicians will not corrupt the system?
i am not, ever since we have corruption system
Im from mindanao specifically from lanao del norte and i can say that its safe to visit our province amidst stories of constant chaos and trouble.mindanao had a lot of places to offer and visit and a lot of foods to satisfy each appetite.i do hope each and everyone could visit mindanao whenever they can 😊😊😊😊😊 wed be looking forward to welcoming you all 😉😉😉😉😉😉
This is the eye opener to the stereotypes filipino😊✌️
Thank you Erwan. Thank you!
I really like your speaking voice 😍 I want to eat that native chicken ,wow burnt coconut in a food whaaaat?! 😄 really! Super gwapo naman, your head tho 😂 .. Thanks for sharing kuya erwan ☺
Looks very Malaysian
No. It's Indonesia
Thanks for the good content, Erwan. You're one of the vloggers i look up to. No bs, just real life. 💗
erwan! you did a very good job. may ALLAH bless you. thank you for giving us muslims a chance to be seen in the world that were not here to bring harm. and just like any other were drying also for peace.. you have proven that you're one of the humblest person in this industry. one who cares for us less privileged. thank you more power!
Uncharted territory. Keep discovering and show us that beautiful side of the Philippines through your eyes.
Thanks for promoting Mindanao.
I love how you one by one show them, the provinces in ARMM. Para di lang general na 'Taga Mindanao or Muslim sila '. I wish I can try and enjoy that too.
This year company Christmas party is Paskong sa Nayon. Our group picked Singkil. While checking what's Singkil I'm lead to know better the tradition, culture and story of Maranao and other Mindanao places. It's amazing!
