Sculpting an Acrylic Almond Nail

We’ve prepped Fay’s nails so we’re going to sculpt an Acrylic Almond nail.
I’m going to pop my form on first and then primer. I’ll then start with at the free edge with my Oscar The Wild brush and Gelica Acrylic Powder. Almond nails are a super easy shape to do so I’ll start with the free edge and move towards the cuticle area so everything set at the same time.
Once my acrylic is matte and almost set, I’m going to test my pinching tool, if the acrylic doesn’t fall apart, I’ll pinch the nail properly. After that, it’s time to file, I’ll use a 180 grit and a 150 grit file. I’m then going to buff and finish with Laura

I live in Chico, Ca and they grow a lot of almonds here. I pronounce it “almond” but locals drop the l and say amonds. They say when they shake the trees (with a machine) to cause the almonds to fall, the “l” falls out!
My son’s girlfriend and her family owns an almond farm in CA and she pronounces it almond as well.
My sister in laws father was a almond farmer there and that what they always said.

My cat does the same thing but I found some videos with birds on UA-cam. She will sit there for hours looking at the birds, she actually falls asleep watching the birds.

Love these videos I think that we all need to start wearing the nails again. Pandemic is mostly behind us and start drawing people back in to the nails scene. We just need to wear them and they will come .!

I live in CT, and not one salon does sculpted acrylics or another other type of product. I find it to be a better method than using a tip. So disappointing 😞
