Thank's Joe for the Bracing and BEC Tips but I'm planning to go BEC to Steering Servo and let the ESC power the rest through a Wye connection... Woohoo I've finally ordered the Trail Honcho Tan... need to borrow a program card from someone LOL ✌🤠👍 Having Fun Laughing Playing and RCing 👍😎👍 AOAH =Association of Addicted Hobbiest 🙏 Stay Safe and Play Healthy Brother 🎉 RCF4L
I like mine,, but my body has a split by the door already, the slipper nut was so loose out of the box it wouldn’t even move under its own weight. Had to take motor and trans apart before I even got to run a pack through it. But it’s back together now, tight and end points set.. so far so good now..
I love tearing new rigs apart. I do that every new rig i get that i haven't had before just take it completely down to a pile of parts make sure i know how everything works. Great video bro👍👊✌️
What kinda of grease is that I'm trying to regrease my transmission but all I have is dynamite marine grease can I use that or do I need special grease???
Great seeing the tear down. For batteries, maybe want to look at Gens Ace Basher Pro at 8k :) If you go with the Spektrum 6100AT (take it out of the Ryft) and a Rugged, you can get voltage monitoring there too.
Congratulations getting the monster SCX 6 🥳🎊🎊 I can't wait to watch you ride it around the Exoplex LOL 😁 But really that's a Nice Job of really looking into the Beast ✌🤠👍 HFLPRCing 👍😎👍 AOAH 🌟 RCF4L 🙏 Stay Safe and Play Healthy Brother Joe
Great review, much appreciated. Mine literally was delivered as I was watching your video, saw the big AXIAL logo on the BIG box on the ring camera as he sat it down. I managed some restraint, finished the video, with a fresh grin I might add......then headed to the porch lol.
That video was pretty helpful. Mine came in the mail yesterday but I’m 1900 miles away in the semi lol. But let’s me see what I’ll be getting into before I even get home to it
and now we wait for vitavon to make a dig trans add on (and seeing as the front and rear outputs are separate it would be fairly easy to put some nice overdrive to relief strain on the trans when turning, but I wouldn't go any higher than 24% and about 12% would be the best for something of this scale).
Super awesome video!!!! I love how much fun I have learning from you.... Ps you should put a strip of measuring tape going up the shelf so we can gauge how tall the rc cars are on the shelf you use for your videos.
My 1/8 scale Marksmen is a very good Rc because it has a wide low stance it will consistently out perform 1/10 scale moded RC’s just because of it. I’m guessing it’s going to be the same for the SCX but it is a high body so maybe someone will do a shoot out between the two. Mind you the Marksmen is half the price!
Yes most definitely it looks almost half the size & next to my 10 scale it’s not necessarily looking that much bigger just much wider. So that SCX should be an absolute beast.
First line on transmission case replacing... "well you know it was gonna happen Vitavon made a transmission casing so it looks like we will be breaking that massive tranission down"
been waitn on you to get one i was so stoked when this came out but for the money im waitn to see what all you can do to it what upgrades are out there etc. etc. cant wait to see what you do
Oh and do trim gorilla tape around windows if you got clear windows the gorilla tape stops rock chips too use gorilla tape on any short course rig if you don't want to buy body shells all the time lol
To stop body cracks and body breaking look for weakness in body those spots use gorilla tape inside before you run the rig weak spots are corner areas and sharp bends when body was molded
REEFS 3000!!!! That Vitivon stuff will be awesome on there! Ready for the run video's! Do you still have the Gator 66 chevy? Didn't know if you ever did interior on it? Just curious?
Go with castle kit 1717-1650/8s or I think they have lower kv in that size it's in my exb kraton 6s and it will crawl so in some like this be awesome and I've only ever ran it on 6-4s and it still nuts
I really want one but I think I'll have to wait until they get the production and QC under control. I don't want to have to upgrade or fix A 1100 dollar toy right out the box. (And other lies i tell myself) but on some real the front axle shift, the transmission slip, the shifting servo mount and the steering servo need to be fixed on the production models and then It'll be a perfect truck.
Great video man! Picked mine up and seen that same grease on my tranny. At first I thought I broke something but yea it’s that sticky grease that slowly comes out
Seems to me, 90%+ of all crawler rigs are for competition. I had an 8th scale rig i loved. Wasn't ANYWHERE to compete with it, ever. So, Horror-izon make a 6th scale. They aren't the brightest bulbs in the pack for sure.
If anyone is looking for one of these elevation sports in beckley wv has 1 in stock. Thats the hobby store i go to they do ship i think they where asking 1200. You will have to call them.
Yeah. At $1100 or $1200 with tax the manufactured has sold out to the retailers. They are moving them each day. But it sounds better when they say the first 25000 sold out.
That behmoth is bigger than a 100Qt Coleman cooler !!! With that size, I bet it will obliterate every obstacle @Exoplex...or will it ? Honestly, aside from being a (sizable) "novelty" I don't get it! It's to big to be carried around everywhere, to expensive to buy and probably obscene to upgrade...granted it may be a laugh to drive... for that price and at that scale, I think, buying a real car makes more scense lol. Sorry guys, I just don't get it. Anyway, great insight on "SCX BIGGULP" Cheers mate! Keep it up! Keep it up!
I think it’s workable once it’s reliable. It can pull a trailer, carry a chair, small tent, maybe some drinks and equipment. Would be an awesome weekend trail camping tool.
@@ExocagedRC I have an Axial SCX10 iii gladiator and the steering stay bracket is made of cream cheese but that car actually looks cheaply made but why ??? They are going to destroy their decent reputation!!

Wow! I enjoyed the scx6 review.
I saw it in the store and it was huge.
Your review is a great help in buying the scx6. Thank you.👍👍👍
It’s definitely not a grease it is indeed a silicone oil and lots of people have had it in the slipper real fast lol.
Great truck. 5 of us went for a trail run on sunday. The turning radius issue is definetly explained here.
Man you put out more videos than any other channel and I love it

Yeah I had to do what you see here before putting it on the ground. I haven’t rolled this one yet so the body is still good.
Great to see you got yours. Can’t wait to see the mods you make!!!
I was interested in learning about this truck, but not enough until you made a video about it. Thanks.
I love tearing new rigs apart. I do that every new rig i get that i haven't had before just take it completely down to a pile of parts make sure i know how everything works. Great video bro👍👊✌️
Glad you finally got one. I was wondering.
First to pull it apart that chassis flex is terrible but I think it would be a fun time with a few of them together
What kinda of grease is that I'm trying to regrease my transmission but all I have is dynamite marine grease can I use that or do I need special grease???
Fun. Glad to see you got one of these.
I could not be happier for you !!! Been waiting for this!!!
Going to have to widen the tire test ramp
😀😀 yeah. I wasn’t expecting this thing!
Mine is coming today! I was hoping you were getting one. Can’t wait to see what upgrades you do.
First drive will be up tomorrow or possibly today if I can get to it.
My suggestion is add a volt reducing circuit to bring the BEC voltage down to 5v for the fan and lights.
Nice Exo!
7:10 But when do we EVER consider downgrading to a smaller motor?!?!?😎
Yes been waiting for this 1! Awesome!
Great seeing the tear down. For batteries, maybe want to look at Gens Ace Basher Pro at 8k :) If you go with the Spektrum 6100AT (take it out of the Ryft) and a Rugged, you can get voltage monitoring there too.

Thanks Joe for the non bias opinion. I will wait for a kit version on this one. The ryft killed my pocket book.....haha
I wish they would make a kit, doesn't look like it's going to happen lol
3:56, excessive play in pan hard bar joints causing the chassis movement
And flex in the plastic mounts.

Great videos Mr. Thank you
Mine arrives tomorrow; leaving it as stock.

This would be good with 2wd as big as it is.
@@ExocagedRC yeah totally!
maybe someone will find a way to beef up the VFD-2 trans to put in it.
Very nice!! Thanks!!

That panhard bar has a lot of play

Thanks for the trans teardown, I was curious if I could use one of these in a 2wd drag build and lop the front output stuff off.
Oh and do trim gorilla tape around windows if you got clear windows the gorilla tape stops rock chips too use gorilla tape on any short course rig if you don't want to buy body shells all the time lol

Поздравляю... 👍👍👍
I was checking out the same one at Nankin hobby shop,
That's a Big Bi+#h!!!! 😱😁
To stop body cracks and body breaking look for weakness in body those spots use gorilla tape inside before you run the rig weak spots are corner areas and sharp bends when body was molded
Yeah I do need to tape it before I get too hard on it.

I want to see a monster truck conversion! I wonder what wheels and tires fit? 17mm hex is rather convenient!
I knew it, you bought it! (B+)
Yeah. I had no choice. 😀
Ovonic has IC5 7600mah 3s batteries, thats what i use in my Arrma and what i will use when i get myself a SCX6.
is this rig that big or did you shrink ?,))thanks for another good vlog

Dam know ones ever goin to get those wheels off the 10mm just gonna run away like they all do
😂😂
Because of that goop leaking, I swapped to the Vitavon transmission case.
for the price I kind of expect more metal parts
Or a better plastic blend.
Throw a Tekin RX8 412HD 1200kv combo in there for some 6s awesomeness
Awesome scale rc car👍

I got a green one.

👌💯 turned in 👍
you have the same leak where the tranny covers come together that I do.. at least its consistent..
lol watching at christmas time like ... this should be enough power lol
Joe you got those vitavon axles coming for it yet
Soon.
Would have been cooler if the motor was under the motor cover
Or if the esc was bigger. LoL
So ah,......Ya. But ..uh,......Ya. ....Awesome.
Liken the music sweetie move👋🌍✌
I had to tighten %25 of my screws

Vitavon dint fix everything man
Looks like lucas oil motor honey?
No idea. I’m calling it snot. 😀😂😂
The real question is, can castle 1717 be good for crawling 🤣
I don’t think it’ll bolt in. Yet.

LoL yeah the battery boxes look so small in the chassis.
Joe Gerding put 8s in his

Gonna add a lot of useless aluminum parts then cry that it doesnt work right.
No. I’ll add what it needs for performance first. Then there may be extra stuff
You think its worth 1100
Yeah if you want something very different and big for trail use. Not for comps
This is so typical Axial 👎🏻 half build rigs and a lot of weak spots 👎🏻👎🏻
man everything about that looks cheap ??
The plastics are ok but it kinda seems they went down a bit to the low end Losi plastics.
