It all went downhill when KT picked T1 last year.

With their fixtures I think noone is surprised that KT is having a rough start: KDF -> DK -> GenG -> HLE, and only KDF was PROBABLY winnable but they got smashed. Yeah, definitely not a good way to start the split, but I wouldn't write them off just yet.
GenG is the only super-dominant team here. If KT wants to make playoffs they are gonna have to beat KDF/DK/HLE.

I love how the rosters of GenG 2023 and DRX 2022 account for 80% of the players in this series

I personally think the reason why LCK is so META-Locked is simply because they're RESULT-BASED Andies, besides T1 who I think is open to "innovating" with Keria's flexibility, every other team is more so playing like what Caedrel said whatever GenG picks (the best team in the region that is). They dont dare to test it, because once it gets out there and it just sucks then either the Coach gets sacked, the team gets bullied into oblivion, imagine before this split..."Omegalul, KT Pyosik Zyra Jungle? Trash" is a headline when we have known Pyosik as a AD jungler with his Kindred, Viego, Lee Sin, Hecarim, Graves. Well losing job was one thing but getting bullied by the whole country because LoL was the biggest game there and LCK was single country server region i dont blame them to play it safe
Yeah, that mindset will (probably) lead to stagnation in the long run
tbh because the bullying in korea is one of the worst things that happened in that country. Some kinda make sure to stalk you and give you "gifts" to make sure that you k-ys. So, it's kinda understandable that a lot of them are not innovating and playing safe, especially lesser team.
i don't think T1 fit in the title "innovating" anymore, keria just have a weird pick against weaker team and have normal pick against same tier team, at this point the only team that worth watching in lck is geng and it very boring bc they win every team easily, I hope that lck will be more competitive than this

what if we make the minion wave slower in mid so assassin's and roamers return instead of farming mids. and winning the lane comes down to getting kills again since minion is so slow to farm anyway

Isnt mid meta also a response to ap junglers being as strong as they are. To allow the tank and ap junglers freedom and to be better picks. You pick up the adcs to get that ad damage.
Really hoping fearless draft gets used more and more, it would help a bit with the meta problem and allow teams to dig deep in different directions for champion pools.
The meta is just to gift GenG a free world's before fearless draft becomes a mainstay and they become shit

it's more or less Koreans look at the paper that says this is the best and they play it while never taking the player into account cause both the organization and the players themselves fully believe they can do it with little to no practice. It's why i think the best LCK team was back when T1 had peanut, huni, wolf and bang the players actually looked like they enjoyed playing the game were they the best in the league lol not even close but they were the most entertaining to watch.

There is a faster clear for Fiddle if you start raptors, you can consistently be done at around 3:04 but you gotta practice it because it requires good positioning and strict ability usage

caedrel says it at the end of the series - the meta doesnt suit bdd and deft. also pyosik was never top tier and perfect is a rookie. beryl cant do shit as support either when his carries are locked down by the meta
so in summary you have 2 super stars supressed by meta, other one is a support who cant do much on his own and the other 2 teammates are passengers essentialy.
