I love the nostalgia of this bike. There are lots of them for sale 1 year old with less than 3k on them pretty cheap. I want one, and I rode a R18B with 3k on it for sale by its 2nd owner, but I couldn't get past the weight of it and the vibrations at 3k rpm and above. BMW should have combined the retro styling with modern comfort.
I haven’t ridden any others in the lineup. I don’t mind the weight on mine, feels like it carries it pretty low. The vibrations at high rpm’s are indeed a thing, but I love it!

I was at the dealership last Saturday for the 6000 maintenance. Long day. Because of the valve check, they had to wait two hours so the engine could cool down. Plus, they're slow. Six and a half hours. Sunday was a beautiful day to ride. And yes, that tuning makes a difference. 👌🤙 No riding this forthcoming week. Biz in DC. I'll wave from the plane. 😉
Yeah that sounds about right! They actually split mine in two. Oil change and fluid in the first, valve checks next. Combined it took about seven hours.
Never expect your bike to be serviced like a burger drive-through, i want them to take their time do everything like its their own machine, one suggestion drop off day before knowing the day of service is a work day or bad weather and walk away and leave her at the Mc spa for the day.
I had just read the instruction manual. The motorcycle warns you in time when the fuel level is low. You will see this on the speedometer display as a low fuel warning light and you have approximately 4 liters (1,1 gallons) left in the tank.
