IMO, if you don't already have them(clearly not one of them), you really need to look into getting the BMW Bobber seat and plate option as an aftermarket set of parts, as well as their Beach bars.... and lastly, their upper fork covers....it really transforms the R18 into looking something almost like an old R50 or R60.... really a stunning couple parts that really set off this bike and IMO, make it perfect.
@@mototripdc yeah doubtful she would 😅 but man with those few pieces does it not almost look like an R5 (or really any one of the early R's lol).... such a gorgeous bike.... trust me, if they'd give me the loan(terrible credit even though I've never used credit 🤣) I'd be grabbing one... and I'm usually a sportbike or dual sport type of guy.

Rock, I only ever switch to Rain for either 1) rainy weather, or 2) at the beginning of every ride, while the bike warms up.
Agreed, it sounds awesome. I have an R1250R and it also sounds a bit like a WWII fighter, not as good as this though!

Ha, no, but you'll feel oh so classy. It does behave great in the twisties, low center of gravity makes it easy to flick around.
I saw that you went from a rebel 300 to this beauty. I want to do the same. Do you think a beginner could pick this up safely?
Good question. No, mostly because it is a heavy bike. I would have dumped it in the parking lot were it my first bike.

Always rock. I only change modes when it’s raining. I don’t recall using Roll ever
