Thank you for your kind words😊 The Starfighter is a difficult subject for a small 3D printed RC model. But I like a challenge and judging by the first flight it seems that I’ve got the basic design just right. I’ll do my best to refine the design and get it ready for release. But it will not be ready before late autumn or winter 2023.
I wouldn't have the chance to do it myself either. In fact, I had planned to 3D model the Star Fighter based on Ralf Dvorak's blueprint and eventually produce it using FDM with LW PLA HT. Let me know if you need any assistance. I work professionally with SolidWorks and could help with that.
Thank you for your offer of assistance, but the hardest part of a project of this kind is getting the solid base model just right, and that part is done. The rest is just putting in the hours 😜 I would have liked to show Ralf my Starfighter. Too bad he’s not with us anymore. He would have loved 3D printers 🙂
I have subscribed to you now to not miss anything. It was sometime in the 90s when it was stationed in my hometown, and I would occasionally see it at the model airfield. It was fascinating to see what it brought to the world of flying and the charisma it had as a personality. It was only a few years ago that I wondered why we no longer heard anything about it, and that's when I discovered the news. It's truly shocking that it passed away at such a young age. (I'm now the same age.)
Thanks, it will look even better with the wing tanks.. and some paint and more details. It flies really well and very predictable. No bad habits at all. The model glides surprisingly well with those small wings.

nice, i just came back from japan and seen a f104 star fighter at the air muesum , looks like a very fun plane to fly as a model or game sim
