    If so it seems more freight goes over gotthard than we think? Very beautiful convoys! Well done.

    Continuously welded tracks do make a huge difference in speeds it seems.

    スイスにもいろんな貨物列車がるようですね。面白かったです、特にトラックを積んだ貨物列車は珍しいのでは! 🚚

    An excellent video, thank you! Were the shots at Goschenen and Wassen made in 2020? If so, it seems more freight goes over Gotthard than we think?

    Great stuff! I'm going to Switzerland sometime in 2021- does anybody know of good resources to find the spots to railfan-especially freights. Anything would be very appreciated!

      I've been to canton Uri to watch trains before. Many trains going to Italy pass through here.

      The map feature on the Trainspo website is a good way of finding out what trains run in which area. You can use it for the whole world.

    Are trains always this short here?

      a lot of freight is transported via other means in europe.

      Infrastructure tends to be optimized for shorter, more frequent trains than elsewhere.

    • @JETZcorp
      @JETZcorp Місяць тому

      @@therosijedha Switzerland apparently has a similar rail market share for freight as the US. They run MUCH more accurate and predictable timetables than the US freight roads, so shippers and customers know when to expect the train. Buuuut, the cost to ship is much higher, especially on a per-mile basis. An American unit freight train is the most cost-effective overland cargo transport in the history of man, but "it gets there when it gets there."

      @therosijedha Місяць тому +1

      @@JETZcorp good to know, though switzerland is kindof known for having an absolutely amazing rail network so i'm not too surprised
