I'm 39, and I've just been diagnosed with allergy asthma...this is my first time using an inhaler & the doctor asked me to look for UA-cam video on how to use it 😂...your video is the most helpful & your demonstration has helped me on how to do it correctly...thank you so much ❤
My doctor told me the same thing today 😂
Although I have (hopefully) a temporary inflammation
So happy our video was helpful! Glad you have an inhaler to help with your asthma.
Same❤😂
Yah same to me. Im 39 too but this is my 1st time using this.
I have had asthma for many years. I have not been told that I need a spacer when I take my medicine.
They recently (last few yrs or smth) found out that about 80% of the dose is lost to the mouth and therefore making the inhaler pretty much useless. Using a spacer (that has been primed) allows for a higher dose intake but still has some lost to the insides of the inhaler.
So it’s like a bong for the inhaler to get a bigger hit
The spacer is used for babies I think, I have asthma and my doctor has never even talked about a spacer
I was given a spacer when I was a young lad, eventually grew out of asthma but it was necessary for me
thanks for this vid i just got my inhaler for my post nasal drip coughing ugh i been coughing for MONTHSSSSS
Has it worked? I'm starting one today, the coughing is driving me nuts.
Omg same with me and I just got a inhaler today lol ,I literally sound like I’ve been smoking for 65 years
I’m 10 years old,and found out I had athsma and I learned how to use it Tysm.
I'm a legal adult and I have to refresh my memory every time I need it 😂 wish you luck!
I've had asthma since I was 6, good luck mate!
Im 13 and I just got diagnosed with asthma lol- this inhaler is confusing 😭
I wish I had this video when I first started as a child.
Didn't your doctor show you how?
@@rowan0331Doctors always show you the basics but people like this always demonstrate the helpful extra details that could potentially save a life but misrepresent the helpful steps physically and visually. It's best to leave it up to your primary care giver and or specialist . And btw I was never told to always use my spacer. I just do it when the situation calls for it. Asthma has different levels before panic. It's hard to explain but you must know your body. It tells when a certain something is needed before panic mode sets in. Every asthmatic should have a specific customized plan in place before having to call for help. Each episode is different for every patient. Lastly, I'm not a doctor but I am a patient. The most important is to stay calm and use the technique you and YOUR doctors have discussed. Praying for all asthmatics out here in the world. It's a feeling no one should ever have to feel. Feels like your last breath is coming. Don't try to talk. calm yourself with deep slow breaths in and out, relax your shoulders, focus on that a few breaths while dropping your heart rate, breathe slow and deeply in and out between inhales and exhales. Give your meds time to do it's job. Remember anxiety fuels your fears and symptoms. If all fails call 911 for full blown emergencies
I love your videos 😌😊
Thank you!
@@LevelUpRN😊
My doctor gave me an inhaler but no spacer
Nice
Thanks for watching!
i used a spacer when i was younger for my allergies and recently got a new inhaler and never got told to use one
Thank you
You're welcome Paul
@@LevelUpRN you're welcome
I’m your 1k liked person
Good ❤
Thanks 😊
Thank you I really appreciate it space because I really needed to use it.
You’re so pretty
OmG! I love your glasses!
Thanks! 😀
I’m 12 and I have just been diagnosed with asthma my doctor told me how to use my inhaler but I haven’t used it yet but I’m still searching up videos on how to use my inhaler😂😂
Thank you so much 👏🏽
Very Welcome!
What about the "pursed lips" during exhale that are on every test as part of this type of inhaler
Is that to control air flow on expiration??
Kinda hard to take a slow deep breath when you're having a asthma attack 👌
If you catch it early it's easier to do.
I usually do 3-4 pumps
😮 u should not need that many 2 inhales at the most or go back to the Dr
Can i use inhaler in case of cynosis for new born baby?
Try ashmanefrin asthmatics
Hi my mom is usin that but when she presses down I can see some of the product coming outside like from the top part.. Is that normal?
If you breathe in whilst taking the inhaler, the air flow will drag it down the lungs :)
What does it mean if there is some of the medicine coming out of the top like where you push down?
I'm using powdered inhaler one but my doctor today changed it 😭 I'm having trouble how to use it it's very embarrassing that I realized I use my metered inhaler on a wrong way.
Am I supposed to breath in through my nose or mouth while spraying medication into mouth
Breathe through your mouth. Also, use a spacer device to help the medication get into the lungs better.
@@3Equalz I don’t have a spacer device and my doctor said just hold my breathe and then take a couple deep breathes in between each pump (I do 2 )
I don’t support 🌈
Nice video
The medication comes out at 60 miles per hour so use the ten dollar spacer each time and wait ten minutes between the first and second inhalation for most complete relief of your symptoms
Is it normal to use inhaler?
I have had Asthma since 2018 (officially diagnosed beginning of 2021). I have never been told to use a spacer.
The Level Up RN nurse team is a big fan of spacers for inhalers!
When exhaling after ventolin, is it dangerous for others in the room with me? Does the steroid linger in the air?
What to do when inhaler dose goes down from 200 to 160
❤😂 if a patient gets such doctor then he gets cured automatically ❤😂 no need of medicines !!!
I have been told that I must always press the canister down with 2 fingers. Why?
When I was at my doctor, I was coughing too much so that’s why she got me a inhalr
Thank you for the information. Very helpful
Happy to hear. You're welcome!
No joke I have the same one
😊
I have asthma
The 1st time i saw a nurse wearing a nail polish it looks good is that legal
Yes
I haven’t used one. Tell me Why am I so afraid to use it.🙈🙈🙈 my doctor told me to take care of myself, I could get pneumonia. 😢😪😭😭😭 I got pray on this one.
Your not a good example. A real patient with their spacer in tow would help. You may confuse the ACTUAL patient on instructions. They may forget just as you did.
Should the person breathe mouth or nose ?
I hope this is a joke… mouth always
I am shocked that no one has asked this
- but what the heck is a spacer?
This answer is just for you - and all the others wondering 😉 ua-cam.com/video/1cEjd7mEKl4/v-deo.html
If giving 2 puffs, wait 1-3 minutes between puffs.
That is so weird. My doctor never gave me an a spacer, and I have asthma.
Hello
My mom had an inhaler for something I don't remember what for and my 11 year old dumb self took her inhaler and sprayed the medicine all over the bathroom counter and door
I'm sorry mom
My inhaler gas comes out 😢
Imagine hurting your health bc you refuse to use a spacer. It's your health lady. Can't wait to see the downfall years later.
I’m 7my moms fried gave me a inhaler
Except the nasty tongue taste -- you need to clean your mouth afterwards. No one told me anything when I got this inhaler, not even when to use it.
What is the reason, why your shaking?
It's important i guess so 🤨
Your mixing the content inside the inhaler, aswell as clearing out any debris
Albuterol can make you shaky.
Also 1 press of the inhaler is hardly ever enough lol. feels like you just read an outdated description on how to use these, then made a video. you do not know how to use these devices...
I DON'T WANNA USE MINE CUS IM SCARED
fax
Scared of what? Being helped? Getting better? Steroid inhalers are scary. Not salbutamol
Why is she shacking
In australia we go by hold for 5 seconds. I have cystic fibrosis and when i was younger (im 25) the rule was to take 6 puffs using an inhaler and not shake inbetween. That being a standard dose. I would always be starving, shaking, racing heart and just felt super uncomfortable every time. I always said to everyone it felt wrong but they all said well sorry its what we were told to give you. Now its changed to 6 puffs is an overdose and 2 is the recommended……
I have a question. Can you use an inhaler if you don't need one?
why would you want to
If you don't need it then u shouldent use it
If its salbutamol yes but just to try, no need to continue it
@@inhaledexhaled5460 I have let my girlfriend try my rescue inhaler even though she does not have asthma.

You didn't hold you breath after using inhaler. I have seen MANY mistakes/poor advice in your videos
Yeah. This is very wrong.
ur feet are fit
i see you shaking, yk you had more than one puff
No extra medicine here, I just get nervous when I film, and I tend to shake from the anxiety. I was also recovering from pneumonia at this time, so I was feeling pretty rough in general. --Meris
Why you are guy?..
I got that inhaler on steroids haha
You didn’t get a proper seal at all this demonstration is poor
