    This is a great series. I have a DJI FPV. I bought it as my first FPV drone because I also film with it. - The haters don't seam to understand that DJI is really helping their sport. I would NEVER have the time to build something. I would never have the time to go through the learning curves. This quad helped me build skills, and now I'm going to get into it seriously. - THAT'S GOOD

    • @borgonianevolution
      @borgonianevolution 2 роки тому +4

      No they are not helping the sport. They are buddy fucking new pilots who don't know better for big $$$$ for the price of that piece of shit. You could buy a prebuilt mass produced race drone, crash it and throw it away buy 6 or 7 more up to 10 or mor4e if you count the cost to fix it one time and learn on something more agile and durable. I just built a 3inch 4s quad for under $250 that would fly circles around that thing in a race and I have smashed trees full throttle. Fallen down thru the center of them hitting every branch on the way down. Smashed into picnic tables and guess what. I have gone thru 6 propellers (and one camera lens that vibrated loose and fell out) in 10 months.
      And to be honest.. the sport doesn't really need people that are dumb enough to see all these negative comments yet STILL buy one...

    • @emielcors
      @emielcors 2 роки тому +1

      @@borgonianevolution i think it's something totally different, fpv freestyle / race quads are not comparable to the DJI Fpv. They are for totally different purposes. The DJI is more for filming but having a bit more control than normal DJI drones while custom quads / for freestyle and racing are more for the whole experience and controlling something nimble and superfast! i like both a lot for their differences

    • @borgonianevolution
      @borgonianevolution 2 роки тому

      @@emielcors Not if these morons are telling first time users its great to learn on when the KNOW crashing is a huge part of learning. These things are total shite when it comes to durability. I am sorry if EVERY time you crash its going to cost a minimum of $400 and lost time to repair that is insane even if you area pro pilot. They also say its great entry level racer.. which again is bullshit and just completely buddy fucks anyone who buys into that insanely false statement. I would recommend some cheap one time use Chinese toy quad over this POS any day as a first quad. DJI advertising and business plan/ethics on the hobby side is nothing but a massive scam. I wouldn't touch a DJI product if it were handed to me for free other then to hand it back or toss it in the garbage because of their shitty ethics.

Can you recommend anything to help please.

    I am 60 years old. I was interested in learning FPV, and in these latitudes (I live in a country where it is difficult to buy spare parts for drones) it was impossible to do the complete curve to fly a homemade FPV drone.
    The DJI FPV, which allowed me to complete the training, led me to the need to use another flight simulator (not just the DJI one for the DJI FPV). Today I have about 40 hours on VELOCIDRONE and I can decently fly the DJI FPV in manual or acro mode.

    First congrats Eric on going through the course, but I hate to say it, but you broke it. Now 2 months of not flying until you get it back from China. And then you hit a blade of grass and break it again. Now you're waiting again for your quad to get back. If you was practicing flying with a standard 5in quad you could fix it and be back to flying in a hour. And it wouldn't cost much. A DJI FPV Drone would cost more to send it back to China than to fix a slandered quad. I think it's great that Eric is doing great, but he has a sense of flying. I would love to see this test using someone who has never had flown anything before.

    My question today is, why does it seem that your drone footage shows more flat in flat turns, where my DJI-FPV has more roll than yaw, I want my DJI-FPV drone to be more flat in turns.
    Can you do a vid on tuning rates just for this drone on the latest update please? :)

    doing some gates, or a very simple course through some trees or poles, is supremely helpful for flying fpv of any kind. even people like me, zero tricks, super silky cinema style, its incredibly valuable to be able to take the quad by the scruff of the neck and force it to go where i want. is not really about becoming a great racer, its about the confidence you get from forcing the quad around a flag. because no matter how sedate the shot your goin for, sometimes you'll clip a branch, or get above a mountain ridge and discover the wind up there is brutal, that racing experience gives you the skill and more importantly the confidence to cope with sudden unexpected things. this course was a bit too hard, start with two gates, then a few more. the corkscrew, to me, is thee most difficult thing to do with a quad.

    Well done guys and the girl as well. She's great teacher. I like she showed 2 different speeds. Great job. BUT i would lose that DJI FPV and get a real quad that can take the abuse. I get it's a great product but once in Full fpv it seems it gets real. Therefore crash time. She's a pretty quad but ain't got the nuts to crash hard. My 2 cents. This series was perfect for me. Or do what me and my dad do. Build racing drones with all same functions of the dji fpv race drone for a quarter of the price and you can customize your drone to what you want it to do and make it as big heavy or light as you want and can even 3d print bodies and shells for it so it looks like a flying racing machine and it costs 110 dollars for a 115 mph race drone fov with stabilizers and same high def digital fpv camera as this drone. Drone racing with a high quality drone doesn't have to be expensive the ones we have built do 115 mph and ppl who never flown a drone with all stabilizers on and anti collision on can go through gates at 80 mph and fly like a pro drone pilot for first time ever with some simple.instruction on how the controls work as in sticks I told four ppl which way you move the sticks for drone to move forward back up and down and they was able to fly wide open in 5 minutes with a 115 dollar drone we built
