Hi newbe here, why do we need to mask it? We can't just use the erase tool? Since the original text is used to make the path, I didn't get why we need to mask, great video 🎉
Masking does the same thing as erasing, only masking is non-destructive so you can go back at any time and tweak the mask (including adding pixels back). Gives you more flexibility
@birria4 masking is for Non-destructive my dude!, you don't want that to your project!? Hahahaha you're not a Professional so don't give advice to a Professional hahahaha
great video as always! i just wanted to ask u, i have problem with my brushes, when i move the cursor the circle keeps changing , so it only gives splashes of different size, i tried to reinstall gimp but that did nothing, i hope u have a great day mate.

How do you do punch out text in gimp 2.10.22 i think it is or the latest version right now. I tryed it but it doesnt look right it looks to light and the opacity was 100
