- A weekend away in the Carthago C-Tourer T148H 2021 Model. We own a 2017 C Tourer T148H so jumped at the chance to try out the new 2021 Carthago Model.
A major change was being on the Mercedes Benz 2.2l engine and wow what a difference. It was only 20HP more than our Fiat Duccato but it felt like 100 more.

We take a trip to the East coast of England staying at the Bridlington Caravan and Camping Club Site with lovely walks around Flamborough Head.
In November 2021 the base price of this Motorhome is £81,280. The model in the video is £112,750.

Wishing you both many happy miles of extreme motorhoming in your lovely new van. I loved the shelves in the second wardrobe, I could do with them in ours. I hate to boast, but we have the door between living & sleeping areas in our C-Line and it’s very useful. Thanks for sharing x

Certainly did enjoy the lovely coast, we had a couple of great hikes, it wasn't in this video but we also hiked down Danes Dyke. All topped off with a fleeting visit to Scarborough for fish and chips - a perfect weekend 😀👍

This has got to be my favourite coach build van , love the layout and the lighting looks like a very well built van with a great Mercedes engine , I'm a little tempted

My favourite bit was Barney’s kilt 😂😂 are you upgrading Katie to this? Cab looks super wide and the media centre certainly better than our Fiat version!

Hi Guys ,what a beautiful motorhome everything you need the lounge sitting looks comfy,my opinion it’s a stunning beautiful motorhome but a little expensive,the fit out is perfect ,the engine is a 2.2 very powerful with the Automatic box ,the mattress on the spear bed looked very hard ,till next time take care keep safe, John 🤷♀️🤷♂️🌹🎅🏻🎄🙌🧚🏽♀️🧚🏽♀️

The Mercedes C-Tourer has more glass than our 2017 Fiat Duccato but Yes, definitely agree, all things being equal the A Class is the way to go😀👍 Cheers...Andy&Michelle

Stunning van and on our list with the merc cab😍 give me decent roads and maintained foliage with them aluminium sides 😔 and we would buy on tomorrow or sooner 👌🍾🍾🍾

If you upgrade in the future but this is a stretch too far, the new auto gear box in the Ducato (available since 2020) is brilliant. Add that to a larger power option (ours is 160hp), then it suddenly transforms the driving experience.
The manual Ducato in 120 or 140hp is a dog in comparison. Here in Finland, motorhomes are referred to as 'teidan tukko' ('road's blockage'), but we have surprised quite a few cars by overtaking them in ours! 😁 Still would love the Mercedes cab though 👍🏻😃
We actually drove the 2021 Malibu Van which 160bhp last weekend and yes a massive difference, a real joy to drive👍
What a beautiful van. And I love the video. I was wondering how you would Rate Carthago Motorhomes in the Winter for van living if you have had any first hand experience with this kind of weather 😃.
Hi, glad you liked the video, we are in our Carthago right now in Devon and it’s very cosy, we went to the Alps in winter last year and again was absolutely fine due to its double floor which is heated😀 they are made for this kind of weather 😀 cheers.. Andy&Michelle

Yes it is a lot of money, we would consider 2nd hand in the future, these things are built to last, no wood at a all is used in the structure of these, cheers.. Andy&Michelle
I have to say, you're both so good at doing reviews like that! That is a great HoHo, much prefer the Mercedes styling. You should downsize your house and buy one - before I do :-)
The reviews like that work because I (Andy) know my place...which is outside (in the cold🥶) We won't be changing for a while yet but when we do it'll be hard to look past a Mercedes, Cheers...Andy&Michelle

Loved that van. We have an A Class and that is again another level of being bright and airy. What interested me was the garage shelving system. Interested in your thoughts on it? We have a similar size garage and were considering it.
We did like the shelving in the garage and its something we need to put in our MH but a much more slimlined version so that we can still get our bikes in, I've asked the question about the shelving, will let you know. Cheers...Andy&Michelle

Beautiful Moho guys. Were looking for van that doesn't need draining down during freezing weather. It's on our list to look at at the Feb NEC show.
Hi, yes its a very solid feeling Motorhome😀👍 re drain down, I think they all need to be drained down if not plugged in with a small amount of heat to keep the temperatures above zero. Its actually a very timely comment, we always drain down but with the -8c temps a few weeks ago we suffered frost damage to one of our taps! 😢 there must have been a small amount of water left! @@shaungregory1789 Hi, the last time I heard there was quite a lead time on the fiat but not as bad for the Mercedes or Iveco there’s not much difference between the various dealers, which part of the country are you in? When we bought ours we just kept searching all the dealers for a couple of months until we saw the one we wanted rather than wait for one to be built
I hope it has mirrors. As all the others don’t seem to have them for the drivers to use to see the line of traffic behind them needing to pass.
lol - mirrors come as standard on this model 😉 and it drives like a car, definitely no line of traffic behind us on this weekend 😀
I think people that drive motorhomes should be educated on how to use mirrors. Or be a touch more considerate to the traffic stuck behind them that needs to pass
Not just Motorhomes, it’s all modes of transport…you will always have your considerate drivers and those that aren’t. 😞 We will always pull over when safe to do so if we have vehicles behind us. 👍🚐 Michelle and Andy 😊😊
