Echo all the way, I use Stihl OCASIONALLY but not much. Echo SRM-3020U I have and I love it, much better design and POWER. Simpler also than the 4mix.

Great video man. I prefer the 2620 for my maintained yards since it’s a little lighter, but I think the 4mix on the Stihl gives it a touch more power for the thick stuff

@Brett's Lawn and Tree Service, I'm not so sure on that one. I had and regularly average my 3020U in some Narly stuff 4-6 feet tall never skipped a beat. Plus easier to work on. I replaced a lot of crank seals clutches gone through carbs and plastic camshafts on the stihls at my old job. Stihl has some design stuff to work out.

@@jdclay1547 The 3020 is a beast, not denying that at all. Never had any issues with any of my 4mix units though. 5 hard years on my FS91R and FS131R, 19 years on my FS110, 16 years on my FS130, getting hard use in 110° heat, no problems at all. 2 years on my 3020 and it’s problem free and the only trimmer that’s came close to matching my FS130 and FS131 power wise, I think it’ll hold just as good as my 4mix units too

How is that stihl doing without that guard after a few years of use? Has the clutch bearing failed yet? When it does, its half the cost of a new unit.

@Jesse Bristow, go Echo simple reliable and no valves to constantly adjust every 100 or so hours no camshafts to wear out. But a guy that's a great small engine guy I watch is THEMOWERMEDIC1 really good guy and knows his stuff. The channel and Playlist for the 4mix is below
